Let's give Addie a round of applause for surviving Obsession (2025)! 👏👏 Happy Friday. This is my favorite horror movie that came out this year. My girlfriend & I saw it in the theater and we both enjoyed it. I totally agree with you on how disturbing yet very good it was. I even own this movie on 4K Blu-ray. My favorite scene will always be the date night because of Nikki screaming "NO, NO, NO, NO, DON'T DOOO THAT! I THOUGHT WE WERE HAVING A NICE DATE! WHY DOES IT MATTER, I THOUGHT WE WERE HAVING A NICE DATE!" I also like the scene where Nikki screams "WHY DON'T YOU LOVE MEEEE!" Inde Navarrette really nailed it twice here. BTW, Megan Lawless, who plays Sarah in the movie, also went to my high school (not kidding). And Nikki is also a roaming character at this year's Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood.

OH FUCK….my girlfriend and I watched this a few weeks ago for the first time going in completely blind, what a crazy ride!! I look forward to watching your reaction later…😬. This and Project Hail Mary have definitely been the best movies of 2026.

Finally!! I’ve been waiting for this reaction! I hate horror movies, but this one was too good and too impactful to pass up when it first released. So glad you’re reacting to this one, Addie! I can’t wait to hear your thoughts!

So glad you decided to check this one out! So, Curry Barker (the writer/director) confirmed that the One Wish Willow isn't some Monkey Paw trick. You can absolutely wish for anything you want without worrying about any negative consequences. Like when Ian wished for a billion dollars, he got exactly that. And the store clerk towards the end of the movie, I think they said he used his wish to remove all of his anxiety and negative energy. It was just Bear's wish that was evil.

Two observations: 1. I believe that the title refers to Bear, not Nikki She was replaced by some crazed entity, he was truly obsessed. 2. The scene where she waits for him while he's at work... and she makes on the carpet... then stands in it all day. Wet socks. Yuck!

If Bear had wished for the courage to ask out Nikki all of this would have been avoided, instead he became a rapist. Everything before the dinner date he had plausible deniability, everything after that is pure dirtbag rapist behavior

This was really good, and Inde Navarrette was particularly great! This movie could have easily fallen flat but the acting and direction was pretty spot on. Also, maybe it's just me, but this one kind of gave me a similar "vibe" in terms of creepiness escalating creepy to Smile. (Which is another horror movie that's surprisingly good, it's definitely one I'd vote for on an October poll at least! And the sequel was maybe even better than the original, which is kind of unusual for horror movies!)

I was in a bad place when we lost Dolly, Tim, and Peter that week and I started watching a load of scary movies to occupy my head. I was about to hit play but then you mentioned in the Aug q/a that you were interested in this so I waited. The absolute bonkers scene came from one word.... (Bear tries to sneak out of bed).... Nikki: "STAY!!!!!!!!"

Very interesting take on the wish. Everyone’s said “I wish…” at some point. It’s the plot for so many stories. Wishing on a star, blowing out the candles on a cake, genie in a lamp, etc…Everyone has thought what would they wish for if they were in their shoes. But we rarely think about what it takes to fulfill that wish Poor Nikki 😭 She didn’t ask for any of this. But her life was ruined because of that POS Bear. Not to mention Sarah and Ian. Bear couldn’t even take himself out at the end. He tried to throw up the pills before Nikki made the wish They didn’t really make it clear if Nikki was fully aware what was happening the whole time. And just powerless to stop it. Or if she could break through every once in a while, but was in some sort of limbo the rest of the time. Either way, she didn’t deserve any of it I’m typically not into horror movies, but I thought this was a great movie! I really enjoyed your reaction Addie!
