Fun fact this episode is either loved or hated by fans because its a one location episode. I thought it was great! Great character moments between Walt and Jesse

Lanny Stanfield

Rewatching this after so many years, this was a fun episode.

This episode was divised when it premiered but I think people appreciate it more today. According to Vince Gilligan they shot most of the episode in one location because they needed to save money, the season was way over budget.

Adrian Duenas

The first of 3 episodes directed by Rian Johnson! He’s actually the reason why I started watching Breaking Bad in the first place. I saw Looper in theaters and had to check out more of his work.

Rob

Three episodes left and oh man are they good!

Addie I have a question. I know its a long ways off still. But you do plan on watching "El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie" (2019) after you finish the series? This movie acts as the actual conclusion to the show :)

This is such a great episode! Definitely expected things to heat up, but a character development episode was a nice surprise. My only gripe is it felt really obvious that the episode was made to save money on the budget.

That's not to say the show doesn't have a natural conclusion. The final episode, Felina, is considered one of the best conclusions to a highly-ranked, long-running series (esp. compared to GoT, Lost, Dexter, Sopranos, etc.). Some would even say that El Camino is the epilogue to the epilogue. Needless to say, all good things to look forward to!

Dan

Yes, it was divisive at the time, but it made a lot of sense, too that they used a "bottle episode" to save money. So, when I hear people complain that this one didn't advance the plot or do enough to entertain, I tell them to just remember that it helped make room for the rest of the amazing things that happen in the rest of this season.
