Here's the full length reaction to The Iron Giant! After a month of scary movies, I needed this :) THIS MOVIE IS INCREDIBLE! This will definitely be a go-to feel-good movie for me from now on. I wanted to check this one out before continuing with the Kung Fu Panda movies, and I'll get back into the Kung Fu Panda sequels later next month! Enjoy!

Happy Monday, Addie. I'm so glad that you enjoyed The Iron Giant (1999). I own this movie on DVD and I plan on watching it either tonight or later on this week.

Alex Tan

To anyone who is wondering which version that Addie is watching, it's the theatrical cut as it clocks in at 1:19:21 minus credits. The 2015 Signature Edition runs 10 minutes longer.

Addie I want to recommend now that you seen this "Big Hero 6" (2014) it's a Disney animated film with a lot of heart to it like Iron Giant ❤️

Michael Cruse

One of my favorite animated films. The Giant choosing to be Superman as it charges the missile always gets me in the feels. Glad you liked it too :)

Speaking of Brad Bird, ho directes this movie, Ratatouille (2007) and The Incredibles (2004) & Incredibles II (2018), I also suggest Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011, BUT only after MI 1, 2 & 3) & Tomorrowland: A World Beyond (2015). #MoreBradBirdForAddieCounts

...and I would want to recommend Disney's Dinosaur (2000) that has some scenes that'll make your heart race with anxiety. 💓💓 #MoreAnxietyInducingMoviesForAddieCounts

Happy Monday, Addie! 😊 I've been looking forward to you checking this movie out. It's been a while since I've seen this movie. And I'm looking forward to revisiting it. Can't wait to watch this reaction later this evening. I hope that you have a great rest of the day today. 😊

Dax

I would second Big Hero 6. That was such a sleeper movie for me. I was blown away when I finally watched it.

I can see you going back to Ready Player One and watching the scenes with the Iron Giant in action in a different light. How it once again made a sacrifice for the greater good. This is the perfect beginning for the warm feel good season that's coming. How soon will you be putting up your Christmas decorations? jk jk .... what's that? You say you have already started? You've already finished?! hahahaha It'll be here before we know it. Here's where I sound like a broken record, sorry but not sorry, about some hopeful Holiday movies you might be interested in. A Muppet Christmas Carol (1992) Disney+ There's an additional scene in the extras of a deleted song, "When Love is Gone" If by chance you choose to watch the movie, I would watch that scene before watching the movie. It fills in a gap that makes sense. Klaus (2019) Netflix A Christmas Story Christmas (2022) MAX Last year you watched A Christmas Story and this is the well deserved follow up. Thank you so much for a wonderful start to my week!! Take care of yourself, Addie!!

Luis Fernandez

Dunno if you noticed, buy Kent Mansley was voiced by Christopher McDonald. who also played Shooter McGavin in Happy Gilmore. He makes a good bad guy!

Addie Counts

Ooooh I didn't notice that! Such a good bad guy!

Byrd N. Hand

More holiday-related movies for her to hopefully consider: -"Miracle on 34th Street" (1947) -"A Christmas Carol" (1951) -"Scrooge" (1970) -"Black Christmas" (1974) 🤭 -"Trading Places" -"Gremlins" (as long as she also eventually watches the non-holiday sequel) -"Lethal Weapon" (a sort of replacement for "Die Hard" this year; again, as long as she also eventually continues on with the non-holiday sequels)

Mr. Writhms

At the end, when he says, "I'm Superman"... it hits me in the metal chamber in my chest every time.

Billy Dancel

I can't believe I forgot to mention this earlier but we get a long awaited and well deserved "How Dare You" earned by Mansley!

Luis Fernandez

I'd love to see a reaction to Scrooge (1970). I think under normal circumstances it might be risky -- my understanding is that musicals are copyright-strike bait. But since there are a few instances of the whole movie up on YT, there may be a chance.

Alex Tan

Speaking of Christopher McDonald, I also suggest Flubber (1997) with Robin Williams.

Richard Higgs

Just suggestions for animated movies: The Last Unicorn (1982) and Titan AE (2000)

...and the version on Prime Video that she's watching is in 16x9 pan and scan instead of 2.39:1 widescreen.
