Help me choose a comedy to watch next! (Look at me, including a horror/comedy when it's not October!!!)

David Bennett

Lots of good choices on this list, T&D and Anchorman are two standouts in my opinion.

Tom W.

Jack Black is not funny.

Onno Smits

School of Rock is so rarely done as a reaction movie because it has so much music, but dang if it ain't great fun! Some of these others did not age well, but are still funny if you watch them with the context in which they were made.

Onno Smits

I agree, he's not funny. He is HILARIOUS! 😂

sarCC

School Of Rock is absolutely perfect for you. You'll love it! (21 Jump Street is crazy hilarious, and alot of fun, too, but School Of Rock is sweet and heartwarming, while also being weird and funny.)

Alex Tan

Happy Tuesday, Addie. All are great choices but my top three go to Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989), School of Rock (2003) and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004).

Brian Leonard

Bill & Ted is the only one I am interested in.

Randee Carreno

Happy Tuesday, Addie! 😊 Great choices for this poll. It was a toss up between "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure" and "21 Jump Street". However, "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure" got my vote. I mean...it's got in it Keanu Reeves!! 😏 Have a great day today! 😊

Onno Smits

??? Aside from the fact that you seem to be indignant about something I didn't even claim, you also seem to be under the impression we're polling what is the better movie. Which is not only a ridiculous proposition (art is subjective) but also incorrect. The poll is which movie you'd like Addie to react to. That's a completely different question! It feels like maybe you're just looking to get into an argument on the internet, which is a sign you may need to look inward and reflect a bit on how you are doing. 🫂

carbsix

We're The Millers... RED (2010)....

Phil Stubblefield

_Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure_ is a clever, whimsical look at a pair of high school slackers, featuring a Keanu Reeves who is so young that he bears no resemblance to John Wick... 😉

QuiGon_Jim

Isn't funny how opinions work. I can't stand Keanu Reeves as an actor and won't watch Bill and Ted if it wins.. I don't and won't complain if it wins.

QuiGon_Jim

Just stop doing polls for a while and watch all of these films. Its a top tier selection of hilarious films you will love!

QuiGon_Jim

That's fair, you're not obligated to like everything see. I personally love Ace Ventura, always have and always will. And you generally can't go wrong with a Wes Anderson film.

Bill W

How the hell is Bill & Ted ahead of Lebowski, Caddyshack, School of Rock and Anchorman? Unbelievable.

LightsCameraJake

School of Rock is amazing, that is some PEAK Jack Black.

Laxjedi

While not Richard Linklater’s best movie, “School of Rock” is definitely his most fun and accessible one for general audiences, thus it’s popularity.

DazzMetalStorm

I hope to see Meet the Parents/Fockers in a future poll.

Bill W

It's the only one of his films on the poll, so I wasn't weighing it against his other work... only Bill & Ted which I suspect is getting most of its votes via nostalgia.

Zachary Huneycutt

Me too! Love The Focker trilogy! This was a hard choice for me, Addie. I picked Anchorman, but.... I like Jim Carrey movies, and Bill & Ted and Caddyshack are also a lot of fun. Caddyshack has the iconic pool scene.... I won't say any more about that. And there's also the lightning scene. And Chevy Chase. And Bill Murray. And a wily, dancing gopher. So, this was a hard choice. But Anchorman is so absurdly ridiculously funny.... "News team, assemble!!!"

Zachary Huneycutt

That gopher was also ahead of his time. I think he may have been doing some of your moves before you thought of them, Addie.

Zachary Huneycutt

If you are not familiar with these classic Jim Carrey movies, you should incorporate some of these into the comedy mix at some point- Dumb & Dumber, Bruce Almighty, and The Cable Guy. The Truman Show is also quite unique and interesting, and you'd probably like that one.

Pokeysaurus

I think the only of Carrey's early work that still holds up is Dumb & Dumber, although I'd gladly watch any of them before a Wes Anderson film. Well, except Fantastic Mr Fox. That one slaps.
