My Arrival reaction will be up tomorrow :) A lot of the movies on that poll had a similar amount of votes, so we're doing this again! You only get one vote on this poll (muhahaha!), so choose carefully :) I'm excited to see which one ends up winning!

What better follow up to 300 than John Spartan?! Be well!

Stephen Fairley

For me it's gotta be Close Encounters. A long film but it's Spielberg.

Patrick Egan

There's several that would make fun reactions, and that I think you'd enjoy. But if I can only pick one, it's gotta be Close Encounters. It's an absolute classic. Just please tell us which version you're watching and maybe what service you're watching it on, due to the multiple cuts/runtimes out there, thanks :)

Randee Carreno

Happy Tuesday, Addie! 😊 Great continuation of your Sci-fi poll from last week. All great choices again. I ended up going with "Armageddon" for this one. Have a great day today! 😊

Clay F

I voted Minority Report (2002).

QuiGon_Jim

It's difficult to tell the difference between 'Armageddon' and literal pile of cheese. 'Close Encounters' is the best on that list imo.

Alex Tan

Happy Tuesday, Addie. All are great choices but my vote goes to Armageddon (1998). #ArmageddonForAddieCounts

Mr. Writhms

Please reinstate "Blade Runner" and "Dune" from the November (2023) sci-fi poll? 🙏🏻

Laxjedi

Every one of these except Armageddon is a really good movie IMO, but I think I’d like to see Addie’s reaction to Minority Report most. Although I will change my vote to another if it will prevent Armageddon from winning. 😜

Clay F

Yeah, weird that Armageddon is winning. I may change my vote from Minority Report to Close Encounters.

Vwlss Nvwls

How can I help you choose, when they are all worth watching?!

Randolph Tirazona

I like them all, but I prefer thought provoking types as well as relational types. Arrival is one such Master Piece!

LightsCameraJake

Absolutely my vote going to Armegeddon again. That movie is made to be fun and epic, you'll enjoy the ride with such an amazing cast of actors. Literally this movie feels like it's the Avengers of actors coming together 😂

Phil Stubblefield

Agreed. _Close Encounters_ was a cultural phenomenon, while it's difficult to differentiate _Armageddon_ from the other "destroy the comet before it destroys us" movie released that same summer.

Phil Stubblefield

I second _Blade Runner_ (1982), but Addie needs to wait to watch _Dune_ (2021) until the second half is released this March.

sarCC

I can't wait for you to watch RoboCop! Not sure why more people don't vote for it, other than maybe they haven't seen it.

The Dingo

I did like Deep Impact better, but Armageddon had the star power and the box office

PHILLIP CORNISH

Armageddon, With Bruce, Ben, Our fav Michael Clake Duncan (RIP) and the Stunning Liv Tyler. What more could you ask for. :-)

Mr. Writhms

The best sci-fi story on this poll, in my opinion.

The Dingo

Stop enhancing your anxious. Enhance the calm harder! I SAID ENHANCE!

Alex Tan

...not to mention Steve Buscemi & Owen Wilson.

Tenn Seven

To those of you who didn't vote for Robocop: WTF?

Laxjedi

I think Arrival won the last poll so that reaction is likely on the way. I believe this poll is because 2nd place in the poll that Arrival won was too close to call.

Alex Tan

(URGENT TO ADDIE) If you plan on watching Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977), then I STRONGLY recommend the 1998 Director's Cut of the movie that runs 137 minutes long.

Jacob King

The only good Armageddon reaction is the DVD commentary where sad Affleck can barely hold back his contempt.

Baldemort

All of these are great films, can't go wrong with any of them! My vote goes to my boy, Bruce Willis on Armegeddon.

Baldemort

Some people here really don't want Armegeddon to win, like they seem offended its doing good, luckily its only the minory being vocal about it in hopes addie sees their comments to sway how she feels going into it. I hope addie does not see those comments and set her expectations based on them. The best part of reaction content, you don't have to enjoy everything and there is plenty other reactors and reactions to watch. Its impossible to ask that people enjoy every movie. You can't please everybody. The people complaining had movies win others really hated and vice versa. Armegeddon is a movie that a lot of people enjoy. Its one of the best sci fis of the 90s. There are people here who may not like it. Does not mean addie won't. :)

The Astral Nut

Oh man, Minority Report was such an awesome movie. One of Tom and Steven's best. Even if it doesn't win this poll, which looks like it won't, it deserves a watch.

Baldemort

You are definitely biased lol, there are a vast amount of amazing movies that exists beyond the 80s, but it does make sense no? if you don't grow up in the 80s then you probebly won't know many of the films and then when it comes to polls, they won't be voted for. as most people online are 90s and 2000s babies. I know your frustration but it makes sense. I think addie should have more themed polls, like classics or 80s and earlier

Bill W

I don't think anyone is worried about whether Addie will like it since she seems to have enjoyed nearly every movie she's reacted to.

Baldemort

As a millineial and somebody who has seen all these films Armegeddon is still up there for enjoyment. So I don't think your argument holds up. I also speak for the many people who also think the same from other reactions communities and in my personal life. Their like for 2001, close encounters, ET, and Blade Runner just to name a few, have not soured the like for Armegeddon or even Deep impact, Again I think your opinion of the film being "nobody likes it only because they havnt seen some of these older films, ew gross millennials" does not hold up. Every single one of these films is unique and fun in ther own respects. The votes speak for themselves, and I don't think it's fair to assume its winning simple because people are uncultured. You are objectively very biased here. Let people enjoy what they want much like you are allowed to not enjoy what they want In this community. Just not a fan of the assumptions.

PHILLIP CORNISH

I'm a 60s baby and my babies are now around the 30s mark. Every one of these films is great but I think where Addie is at present Armegeddon is a good choice. I'm sure the rest will stay on her list. 😘

Alex Tan

@Thats MR. Baldamort Hear, hear. Even as a gen z-er, I'm also open to discovering older films that came out before my time as well. There were also many great movies that came out that stood the test of time, when I was very young, and as an adult now, I'm also wanting to discover them as well while disregarding any biased assumptions, and Armageddon (1998) is one of them. The same could be said with Michael Bay's other movies as well. IMO, he's one of my favorite directors who's capable of making awesome big action movies that I would definitely suggest to Addie. #MoreMichaelBayForAddieCounts

xBATx

Deep impact would be a better movie vs Armageddon IMO

Happy Hanukkah

Y'all have greatly disappointed me. May you always find yourself one seashell short. :-) But seriously, Armageddon seems like a solid choice. I love me Christian eschatological films! Will we be doing the Left Behind movies next?
