Happy Monday, Addie. I'm so glad that you enjoyed The Big Lebowski (1998). I'm definitely gonna have a Coen Brothers Double Feature soon with this movie & No Country For Old Men (2007).

David Noone

I'd recommend Fargo for a Coen follow up, its essential viewing

Happy Monday, Addie! I hope that you had a great weekend. 😊 I've been looking forward to you getting a chance to watch this one. This movie is a wild, but fun ride. Definitely looking forward to watching this reaction later this evening. Some other great Jeff Bridges movies that I very highly recommend are: "Starman"(1984)", "Tron"(1982) the sequel "Tron: Legacy"(2010), and "True Grit"(2010). And for John Goodman I very highly recommend "The Flintstones"(1994), "The Emperor's New Grove(2010), "Kong: Skull Island"(2017). Have a great day today! 😊

Another Coen Brothers movie that I would love to see you watch is Hail, Caesar! (2016). #HailCaesarForAddieCounts

Not normally my cup of tea. But gave it go and enjoyed it. 😀

Happy Monday, Addie, happy to see you enjoyed the movie. If you want to see something fun and wholesome, lookup "John Goodman hollywood walk of fame". There's a video of John Goodman getting his Hollywood Walk of Fame star, and Jeff Bridges shows up as the Dude to give a speech. It's a fantastic watch, especially as John Goodman is laughing the whole time in the background.

The Dude abides.

The Coen Brothers movies are great. 😄 It's been a while since I saw this particular one but it stands up really well. Definitely put Fargo on your list of potential films, though, it's definitely my favorite Coen Brothers flick. (The TV show is also pretty solid.)

Fargo (1996) was nominated for 5 Academy Awards, winning 2 (screenplay and best Actress for Francis McDormand). Lebowski was the follow-up to Fargo, and critics didn't like it (at first) and it didn't do well at the box office. But it really took off in home video and is one of the Coen's most popular films. It has spawned an annual Lebowski Festival in Louisville KY and a religion: Dudeism, whose sacred creed is "Life is short and complicated and nobody knows what to do about it. So don't do anything about it." It has been pointed out that the movie is constantly trying to involve the Dude into its noirish plot, but he again and again refuses to be involved. My recommendations: Raising Arizona, The Hudsucker Proxy, Miller's Crossing, Fargo, O Brother Where Art Thou, and Burn After Reading.

I second Starman (1984). It's a more lighthearted John Carpenter movie that I would love to see Addie watch on her channel.

Jon Anderson

It's an old favourite of mine, but really, I'm just here for Addie's perplexity. Glad you enjoyed!

As I was listing those six films I was thinking of Blood Simple, Barton Fink, A Serious Man, True Grit, Llewyn Davis, The Man Who Wasn't There, etc. At some point I might as well say "All of them." Though I admit I'm not much of a fan of The Ladykillers or Intolerable Cruelty. Haven't seen Drive-Away Dolls yet, though I will in the next few weeks. Also haven't watched Macbeth yet, though I'm a fan of anything Shakespeare. I go to festivals every summer and I've watched most of the modern movie adaptations. There's a reason people are still staging adaptations of his plays more than 400 years later.

"Raising Arizona" is a must-see from the Coen brothers.

“That rug really tied the room together.” "This aggression will not stand, man." Classic movie + excellent reaction. Thank you. My favorite performance = Goodman. Bridges completely transformed into The Dude. The Dude abides. Awesome performance by Julianne Moore. Hoffman (R.I.P.) = great actor. Turturro transformed himself. Cool twist on the typical Sam Elliot narration. The intro scene to Bunny is great. So many good scenes. My favorite Coen Brothers' films: The Big Lebowski Fargo True Grit No Country for Old Men O Brother, Where Art Thou?

Billy Dancel

I knew someone who was a lot like Walter in regard to his insane love of this movie. I tried watching it with him but he got more obnoxious than Walter. I didn’t finish it. I knew you wouldn’t be like that so I made it through. This can be one of my favorite roles by Steve Buscemi.

I’m one of the few people on the planet that watched this movie and then haven’t been able to watch the whole thing ever again. Love a lot of their other movies though. Something about this one just doesn’t hook me

Happy Day of the Dude to all who celebrate it. I am honoring the day by watching one of my favorite movies with one of my favorite reactors while drinking one of my favorite beverages.

There is also a Lebowski Bar in Reykjavik Iceland that has 24 White Russian variations. Between my two trips to Iceland, I have had all but 2 of them... next time though.

I love seeing reactors coming in blind to this movie and Addy with her WTF is going on face made my day.
