It's time for yet another HIGHLY entertaining installment of Taskmaster! Today it's Episode 4: Down an Octave. Can we just talk for a second about Romesh's insane method of getting the tears they were supposed to extract in that one task?? That was almost too much, but definitely thumbnail worthy, I thought.

Here is the unedited, full-length version of my reaction to this episode, and I would love it if you watched along with me. Definitely be sure to let me know your thoughts about It if you do. I've provided the unblurred version up top via Streamable (just click the photo thumbnail), and the link for the blurred YouTube version can be found here: https://youtu.be/evY0G7wJLio. For those watching the YouTube version, remember that you'll need your own copy of the episode to sync up (I found them free on YouTube, fyi).

Thanks as always for your incredible support, and I hope you have a great rest of the day/night!

The running joke in this episode with Josh always makes me laugh. You'd think they could only get away with this sort of joke once, but in other seasons, they still find new and surprising ways to unexpectedly prank the contestants. After you've done this season, are you going to jump around to different seasons? As we've all said before, there are no bad seasons, but there are definitely some that I'm sure we're all extra excited for you to get to!! The season lengths vary as well. S1 is 6 eps, S2&3 are 5 eps, S4&5 are 8 eps, and S6-16 are 10 eps. There's also been two 'Champion of Champions'. One after S5 which was two episodes, and one after S13 which was just one episode. As well as this, there's been three 'New Year Treat' episodes which are just one off episodes where they have people that aren't comedians, like actors/presenters etc. The annoying thing about those is you end up loving the cast and are left frustrated that it's only one episode! Thank you so much for putting these out regularly. I'm really enjoying watching a show I've seen so often, through the eyes of someone discovering it for the first time <3

Yay, more TM! Greg shouting "don't knock that figurine off!" always makes me laugh at the end. The cottage is in Chiswick, London. It's on Google Maps as the Taskmaster House, a 'cultural landmark' apparently hahah. It's actually an old groundskeeper's cottage for the golf course next door. Also, team tasks are a regular thing, but I forgot that they didn't do the first one until ep 4 this series!

Given that this was a brand new show, it succeeded brilliantly at introducing new people, their personalities, making you care about them and taking the piss out of them. In many ways, this was the weakest season. You have so much to look forward to!

Thank you so much for the info here, Becky, especially about the season lengths! In an effort to keep the content on the channel fresh and diverse, I try to jump around with different things; but that said, given how well the TM videos are doing and how easy they are to edit with regards to copyright, I plan to stick with them. And in order ;) Poor Josh!! Such a nice guy though.

Hahaha I didn't even catch him saying that the first time around! Hilarious. Also thank you for the cottage location! I'm glad it's tagged as a cultural landmark, as it allows me to be seen as a student of significant culture rather than a garden variety stalker.
