Episode 2, "Pork Is a Sausage", brought on nightmare fuel in the form of Jon's nursery rhyme. It also caused the most anxiety in me so far with the Pizza Prank Call Task (I explain in the episode).

Here is the unedited, full-length version of my reaction to Episode 2, and I would love if you watched along with me. Definitely be sure to let me know your thoughts about It if you do! I've provided the unblurred version up top via Streamable (just click the photo thumbnail), and the link for the blurred YouTube version can be found here: https://youtu.be/5B3Ipm1mJfo. For those watching the blurred version, remember that you'll need your own copy of the episode to sync up (I found the full Taskmaster episodes free on YouTube, fyi).

Thanks as always for your incredible support, and I hope you have a great rest of the day/night!

Jon isn't that short. He's 5'8''. Making fun of his height is kind of part of his persona. He is a team captain on 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown (he used to be a team captain on 8 out of 10 Cats as well), and his height is a running joke. OCD and general cleanliness are a major part of his schtick. Joe Wilkinson is also on those shows a lot and has a persona that he's pretty much sticking to here, but I'm not sure how to describe it. Katherine is indeed Canadian. You'll see her a lot on shows involving Jimmy Carr, who seems to be her mentor. Sometimes she annoys me because she's one of those people who's really into reality shows, but she has definitely grown on me, especially because she doesn't mind being the butt of a joke. Like the height thing with Jon, the running joke with Katherine is that she's had plastic surgery. She will also do some absolutely crazy things that make me jealous of her confidence. Doc Brown is a name (from Back to the Future, of course) he got in high school because he looked nerdy. When he started rapping, he kept using it. His real name is Ben Bailey Smith. In addition to rap and comedy he has also done some dramatic acting and wrote a children's book that is supposed to be sort of rapped out loud. Richard Osman is mostly a TV producer but became co-host of a game show he helped create called Pointless. For the past couple of years, he's only hosted Celebrity Pointless and the regular version has rotating co-hosts. Richard has also written a series of murder mystery novels. Like the competitors from last season, everyone on the show can be seen on British TV a lot (especially panel shows) with the exception of Doc Brown who mostly does serious acting nowadays.

I should make it clear that I don't think Jon would be mocked as much for his height if it wasn't a running joke on multiple shows. He's taller than Doc Brown and Josh Widdicombe who are both 5'7''.

Every series (after S1) has a sort of item theme thing and, as you obviously noticed, this series it's potatoes. The pizza task gives me secondhand anxiety aswell hahah. I always love Alex giggling away during the live task – I swear he has the most contagious laugh. Richard is 6'7 by the way, so nearly as tall as Greg. Glad you're enjoying S2! Joe and Jon are my favourites, but I like all of them. Katherine grew on me more as the series went on, but I already quite liked her as I'd seen her on lots of other panel shows. She's an acquired taste, so to speak, so I get what you're saying!

It's always interesting to hear your initial views of the contestants, considering you don't know anyone. Most of us go in with preconceptions about who we like, but I usually end up liking the ones I had no expectations of at the start. Before Taskmaster, I didn't know Tim Key (S1) or Doc Brown (S2), yet they entertained me so much. I've learned now to not go into the seasons with favourites in mind.

I found I loved all the season 2 cast, most of them from other things. Joe carried over the shambolic, chaotic energy he displayed in 8 out of 10 cats. Doc was new to me, but he has an effortless charisma. Katherine has massive Canadian confidence, but also strong Mum energy. Her descriptions of her very proper English daughter are hilarious. John's ultra competitive OCD is on full display here.

This is so incredibly informative and helpful!! Thank you as always :) Oh and btw- Ben Bailey Smith is about the fanciest British name I've ever heard. If I didn't know otherwise, I'd think you were speaking Bridgerton to me. lol

David vs. Film

Ok so next to Greg at the end of last season, poor sweet Josh looked like a jockey who'd just won a derby. But I didn't notice Doc being that short at all!! I'll have to watch closer in the next episode.

David vs. Film

Thanks Evan!! Oh yeah, I could tell Richard was a big boy. All the others were scrambling up that hill in Episode 1, but I noticed Richard just took 3 big steps and he was at the top lol

David vs. Film

Haha yeah, I don't know anyone Becky. I'm woefully uninformed when it comes to anyone outside the "biggies" like your Helen Mirrens and Maggie Smiths, Hugh Grant, my girl OC, etc. But that's why I'm loving these shows SO MUCH and getting to know these talented folks. And I honestly have no clue who is coming up in future seasons either, or if I'll know them, with the exception of 1 person I happened to see on a promo photo: the guy who plays Nate on Ted Lasso. It looked like he was either a contestant or made an appearance on a future season/series.
