Episode 3, "A Pistachio Eclair", is one of those Taskmaster episodes that I truly enjoyed from start to finish. The tasks were all highly entertaining (Impress the Mayor), and I was super pumped to see Josh return!!

Here is the unedited, full-length version of my reaction to Episode 3, and I would love if you watched along with me. Definitely be sure to let me know your thoughts about It if you do! I've provided the unblurred version up top via Streamable (just click the photo thumbnail), and the link for the blurred YouTube version can be found here: https://youtu.be/WMCg0xghdnA. For those watching the blurred version, remember that you'll need your own copy of the episode to sync up (I found the full Taskmaster episodes free on YouTube, fyi).

Thanks as always for your incredible support, and I hope you have a great rest of the day/night!

Someone probably already mentioned it but if you want to see the non-bleeped version of the show they do have their own streaming service. I think it’s $5 or $6 a month, it includes all international versions of the show too.

Michael Nolan

I think you are starting to see Katherine's Mum energy. I know she can seem a bit much, but she always defends her position and always puts family first. When contrasted with British comedians she can seem very bolshie but her Canadian confidence suits her very well. (Totally irrelevant shoutout: The Canadian YouTuber Neil Talks has just returned after taking a year off. He is involved with TV production, is a huge Fallout nerd, and is a world traveller. He has just started reacting to the Fallout TV show, but he is also a prolific reactor to Taskmaster. Right now he is reacting to Series 17. He has full reactions for the other UK series, Several seasons of Kongen Befaler from Norway and multiple seasons of NZ and Australian TM. Check out any of his reactions!)

The only negative about supermax is that they cut out the ad break segments so you miss a lot of jokes and Alex-nonsense

Dylan

That’s very true, I know I’d choose uncensored in exchange for those jokes but each to their own.

Greg's last name is pronounced 'Davis' – it's the Welsh pronunciation of Davies and Greg is Welsh! Alex does pronounce it both ways for some reason, but I believe he pronounces it right in the later series.

I think of parsnips as a potato-y carrot. They're probably not as popular because their varying sizes and density can make them difficult to cook properly. If you've ever had Terra chips, they use parsnips, sweet potatoes, regular potatoes, and another root vegetable that I can't remember in their original flavor chips. Pretty sure Terra chips were my first introduction to the parsnip, but it was my least favorite of the four flavors. Walmart sells a root vegetable mix (their Great Value brand) with beets, carrots, sweet potatoes, and parsnips in the frozen food section. I really like it as a side that is lower calorie and lower carb than most potato sides.

The Davies pronunciation thing is weird. Greg's name should be pronounced like we pronounce Davis because that is the Welsh pronunciation, and his family is Welsh. Some Brits and most Canadians, Australians, Kiwis, and Americans tend to pronounce it with the long e, and I've never seen Greg (or Alan Davies, no relation, who is on QI and season 12 of Taskmaster) correct anyone who says it that way. Supposedly, Alex used to say it with the long e for quite a while after meeting Greg but stopped. I get it. My last name is Winder and to be honest even we don't know if it's supposed to be pronounced with a long or short i. My family uses the short i, but people mispronounce it all the time and I don't care because I know they mean me. 😆

I agree David that this was an excellent episode. Alex and the team always seem to get the mix of personalities right for each series and you don't have to know their work to enjoy watching how each person approaches the tasks and how they interact with each other in the studio. I didn't have a favourite for series 1 or 2 but for series 3 and 4 I absolutely did. I adore Greg and Alex and this show has always brought joy and laughter and I am so glad you are loving it as it is fabulous to rewatch with you. Thanks x

David vs. Film

Yes, I am 100% loving it. I've been doing this channel for over 2 years now, and I can assure you that I have ABSOLUTELY the best audience of any other channel - obviously including YOU! Everyone makes the best movie and show recommendations, and the energy is so positive, and then we have even more fun over here on Patreon. So THANK YOU, Cazza!! Looking forward to S. 3 & 4 to see if I have the same favorites, btw lol

David vs. Film

Thank you!! A definitive answer! I expected nothing less from you lol. My name is pretty plain, but my dad has a very weird first name. He'd be the first to tell you that he just rolls with it also no matter how people pronounce it

Starman Deluxe

The Hobbit joke was funny because Josh Widdicombe legitimately auditioned for either Frodo in the Lord of the Rings or Bilbo in the Hobbit. I forgot which lol

David vs. Film

Get outta here, really?? Haha, well I would have watched him. After Taskmaster though, I can only imagine him laughing non-stop and saying "WHOTT??"
