Episode 5, "There's Strength in Arches", is the finale that I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE is already here! Even though I realize that this season clocked in with only one less episode than Season 1, it still felt remarkably shorter by comparison. Maybe it's just me. But oh what a blowout it was! I thoroughly enjoyed, and I can't want to roll on into Season 3!

Here is the unedited, full-length version of my reaction to Episode 5, and I would love if you watched along with me. **updated thumbnails to come** Definitely be sure to let me know your thoughts about It if you do! I've provided the unblurred version up top via Streamable (just click the photo thumbnail), and the link for the blurred YouTube version can be found here: https://youtu.be/SGAlphcH0ZA. For those watching the blurred version, remember that you'll need your own copy of the episode to sync up (I found the full Taskmaster episodes free on YouTube, fyi).

Thanks as always for your incredible support, and I hope you have a great rest of the day/night!

Really hoping you continue with Taskmaster. This season and the next season are good, but when we get to 4, 5, and 7, the show really gets amazing. If you’re looking for a comedy travel show, look no further than An Idiot Abroad. It’s Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant who send Karl Pilkington around the world. Karl is a closed-minded man with no interest in travelling outside the UK or experiencing other cultures. Series 1 is him visiting the 7 wonders of the world, series 2 is him doing bucket list activities, and series 3 he’s joined with a travel companion, Warwick Davis. It’s genuinely hilarious! Series 1 is my favourite for sure, as the culture shock seems most prominent in those 7 episodes. I’ll DM you a link for a series 1 compilation. I think it gives a good idea about the kind of humour involved, but without giving away the whole show. That way the show won’t be ruined if you decide to watch it in full, either on the channel or alone. Obviously watching full episodes would be funnier for context reasons, but I know you’ve like got a long list of things to watch already!

I love Katherine, she's one of my favorite people. Not only is she funny she's a badass who took on one of the most famous British comedians who turned out to be a scumbag and did it before it became public that he was a creep.

Evan G

That gave me so much respect for Katherine. She's not everyone's cup of tea, but I agree that she's pretty badass.

Oh I don't know about this! What happened? I mean if you don't want to get into it, I can just google, but I like to hear the details from my friends :)

OMG that sounds amazing, thank you Becky! I see your message and the link. If he's a UK guy with no interest in other cultures, then he should DEFINITELY be exposed to Texas lol. I am absolutely going to continue. Even if people fall off on YouTube and it is no longer wanted over there, I'll finish it out here on Patreon. I just enjoy it too much, and it's such a stress reliever to watch.

And another thing I just thought about also.. someone either here or over in YouTube comments mentioned that she is obsessed with either reality tv or the Kardashians or both, and I think I probably would really like Katherine more in that kind of setting. Maybe that's why I'm really interested in seeing the travel show with her and Joe. That format - and honestly also her standup - may be a better fit for me than seeing her in this kind of competitive setting. Conversely, seeing Josh Widdicombe being competitive and screaming "WHOT??" is more entertaining to me than bits of him I've seen in chat shows.

Pam R

Her stand up is great. She has a Hamilton bit I love ok as for the other thing. Without just posting a ton here's the short version. Russell Brand is a creep and abuser. For years Katherine Ryan has been calling him out and people were just like "female comedians they all got problems with men doing better than them" it was so ick. He even pulled out of roast battles judge because she wouldn't let it drop but they cut all that out. Then finally women who he assaulted finally started coming out and a bunch of male comedians had to admit it was was a well known "secret" he hurt women. So after years of people saying she was just trying to tear down a well know make comedian people finally started believing her. If I remember right she knew because he attacked one of her friends

Pam R

Oh and yes she's a huge Kardashian show fan. Her on big fat quiz show is just so funny.

Becky

Well in series 2, he does Route 66. I don’t remember if he went to Texas but probably. I definitely remember him having quite the culture shock! Yes Taskmaster is such a comfort show. You can never not be in the mood for it, it’s just too good.

Evan G

Joe's excitement in the bridge task always gets me. Such a strangely endearing man. Looking forward to S3 and hope you feel better soon!

Calbah

This is what she said on the show about the Kardashians. “I love the Kardashians, they're a matriarchy of shape-shifting sisters who destroy men… it's very much a sci-fi programme, I'm into it.” She cracks me up!

Starman Deluxe

You know a fun quick one you might enjoy is "Richard Osman's House of Games". It's a quiz show Richard does with a new crop every week. 5 episodes per crop and you could play along if quizzes are something you enjoy. Although I have trouble with a lot because many answers involve general British knowledge and idioms.

David vs. Film

Ohhhh ok, I gotcha... Oh yeah, I knew all about Russell Brand but I didn't know about her or how she had called him out early on. Ok I'm up to speed now. That's really admirable and respectable that she stuck to her guns about it and didn't cave. I need to see more of her stuff because I know there's something bugging me but I can't quite put my finger on it. And I'm usually so agreeable on anyone, especially someone in the mainstream of entertainment, so I'm committed to working it out. You guys love her, and I love YOU, so it's my issue I need to identify lol

David vs. Film

Thanks Evan :) Joe honestly seems like someone who would be so much fun to take a road trip with. Maybe that's why his travel show appeals to me. Just a genuinely great guy.

David vs. Film

Oh ok thanks!! I swear, I thought I knew British programming to some degree, but now I'm beginning to feel like I only knew Ab Fab, Broadchurch, and BBC News lol. There's so much out there, and it's all good.

Pam R

She's Canadian that's probably it Lol kidding. There's also something with female comedians. You're so early on in taskmaster that so far has only been her and Roisin. It's funny that you loved Roisin when usually I see people have problems with her. I love everyone that has been on the show. I think Katherine confuses some because her feminism is humor based. Also like in the sports one I think you read her wrong. I don't know if it was a bad day or what but her getting upset wasn't a joke she was doing her best not to cry. You'll see that in the show. Sometimes people get emotional and thankfully Greg is good at catching on and turning it around to make them laugh.

Starman Deluxe

Haha I was the same way. I'm expanding my knowledge as well. Might start reacting to Australian shows because my knowledge there is pretty minimal

TheHigh

she was kinda wrong somewhat as in the uk girl's have always worn ties along with us boys , most schools even today are still the same!
