'SUP Awesome Patrons! I'm trying something a little different today.. I've gotten a lot of requests for full-episode reactions to The Graham Norton Show, and they're usually for specific episodes featuring a particular actor or actors. One that has come up quite a bit is the Monuments Men episode from 2014 with Matt Damon, Bill Murray, and Hugh Bonneville. I was promised that would be a lot of drinking, a lot of fun- and you were right.

I haven't reacted to a full episode of GN before, and I'm not even sure whether I'm going to try and edit this for a public YouTube video or just keep it as a Patreon exclusive. I recorded it like a regular YouTube video just in case, but let me know what you think.. Would you like to see more episode reactions like this?

*SPECIAL NOTE* Similar to the 8 out of 10 Cats Countdown Roisin video, YouTube has blocked this video in Latin America and also randomly Singapore (way to get in on the party, Singapore!). So if you are in these areas, you'll probably have to stick to Streamable version up top. Everyone else can use the YouTube link (https://youtu.be/qtzlPHdvoBE) if you prefer that instead.

Thanks as always for your feedback and your incredible support, and I hope you have a great rest of the day/night!

Hi David, I'm sure you've been told this already, but because GN is on BBC there are no adverts. The BBC is funded through most people in the UK paying an annual BBC TV license fee, £169.50

Oh! Actually, no John, I don't think anyone has told me that. So thank you!! Yeah, the little I know about the BBC and its operations comes from the show The Crown :)

The BBC licence fee was originally introduced as a radio licence in November 1923. It cost 10 shillings per year, which is equivalent to £0.50 today. The licence was extended to televisions at a cost of £2 in June 1946. This was when the BBC was the sole UK broadcaster. The radio part of the licence was abolished February 1971.

Oh wow, interesting. Yeah I remember seeing BBC America for the first time back in the early 2000s I think it was, maybe late 90s, when we had satellite tv. My first foray into UK programming back then was AbFab and Little Britain.

Ì love Graham! I like some shows better than others of course, but even when you have no idea who the guests are, it's still a good time. I have heard of a drinking game while watching (well, a friend tried it once. HA!). Every time Graham says his version of "Um".....it's more like err or ahhh, but you know the one I'm sure.....DRINK! Won't take long before you fit right in with some of his guests. LOL! I tried it once with Diet Cherry 7Up but the bubbles got to me. ;-)

The open monologues usually mention things that have happened during the week of filming, so watching back it’s not as relevant. The first guy mentioned that you didn’t know is Joey Essex, a reality star in the UK and a total himbo. The second guy is Jeremy Kyle, and I think the closest thing I could compare his show to is maybe Jerry Springer. Jeremy Kyle did do two seasons in the US as well. I didn’t think I needed to see you react to full episodes. But now you’ve enjoyed this episode, I’d love you to react to the full episode of Miriam and Will I Am. Also the one with Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, and Ian McKellan is a must see. Three total legends.

I have never thought that Matt Damon looks like either Mark Wahlberg or Jesse Plemons. When I first started seeing Jesse Plemons in stuff, I couldn't remember who played what between him, Will Poulter (when he did an American accent), Joe Adler, and Noel Fisher. You could probably throw Cameron Monaghan in there too. White guys with sometimes red, sometimes blond hair who are all between 30 and 40 now and started popping up in lots of TV shows and movies 2010ish. They all could play good guys or villains. Now I know who's who, but for a while I was like, "Which one is that again? He's pretty good." 😂 The episode where Mark Wahlberg got drunk and played with Graham's nipples has apparently become a classic. I hated it when I saw it because it made me so uncomfortable, but it's certainly an experience and might be good for the channel. Hope you and Marc had a great 4th of July!

The Monument's Men has a wonderful cast and it's a great story, but it's just a so-so movie in my opinion. My expectations based on that cast and Clooney's directing were probably a little on the high side (and I've loved co-writer Grant Heslov since his roles in True Lies and The Birdcage).
