Marc and I are beginning Game of Thrones Season 7 this week (WOOHOO!!), which means we are nearing the end of that fantastic series. We still have some time to go, but I want to start looking ahead. Wayyyy back when we began, Stranger Things was the alternative on the poll that did not win (but it was close). Once GoT is done, do you think we should pick up Stranger Things, or choose something else?

Bryson Freeman

I think you should watch Stranger Things after finishing Game Of Thrones

F.O.T. Snax (Michelle)

Definitely. Yes. Have either of you seen it? Or first watch for both?

Becky

I don’t like Stranger Things :( Orange is the New Black would be good! Or Bridgerton?

David vs. Film

You are right about Orange! We've both already seen all episodes back when it was on (we were obsessed with that one) Bridgerton is a great suggestion also, and we have not seen that one yet.

Sara Fauth

So I have this show that I LOVE, it's on Apple TV so if you don't have that, I get it. But it's only 3 seasons long, easy to binge, and it's SO interesting. It's called "See" and it stars Jason Momoa, Alfre Woodard, and in season 2, Dave Bautista. I don't know how much I should give away, so I leave it up to you if you want to look into the synopsis. "Stranger Things" is good for like ... 3 seasons and then it lost me in the 4th, BUT at the very least season 1 is really good.

Kevin Bisson

RINGS OF POWER! Just in time for the new season, people will complain about it but its still fun to be back in middle earth!

Eileen

Do it! Do it! I was just thinking about rewatching Stranger Things, as there is going to be a Season 5. By the time you 2 get through the current 4 seasons, Season 5 should be out.

Florence Kosek

Heck yah!! Stranger Things got my vote... all day, everyday 😁

David vs. Film

That was kind of my thinking about Season 5. Plus I'm also considering consolidating the GoT reactions for the next two (shorter) seasons into more episodes per video to burn through it faster over on YouTube, which should put us right into spooky season to start Stranger Things.

David vs. Film

Kevin!! What's up?? Yeah, I remember hearing a lot about RoP when it was first starting, but then I didn't hear as much. So I wasn't sure. Thanks for the recommendation though buddy! You know how much I enjoyed the Tolkien world

David vs. Film

Hey Sara!! Thank you! We do have Apple TV, but I haven't seen "See"! I don't even know anything about it, which is weird but also exciting to find something new. What kind of show is it? Like genre, I mean. Creepy, suspenseful, all of the above?

Sara Fauth

It's like post apocalyptic in a really cool way where things sort of go back to almost tribal communities? But then you see they're still using stuff from today even though it's been so long they don't know what it is. It's action (a bit violent and gory at times), suspenseful, characters are on the run, but the heart of it is about Jason Momoa's character doing anything to protect his family. I will say, since it's not a twist or anything, the reason it's called "See" is that everyone in this future is blind.

Randy

How about “the boys”. I saw the first season but I’m thinking of going back and finishing it. Everyone is on season 4 right now. I don’t want to be unfashionable. Are you planning Godzilla-1? Such a good show. Bring tisues

Becky

Have you seen The Good Place? Genuinely so good, full of twists and turns. Don’t Google too much or you’ll get spoilers.

Sarah.the.clumsy

So I changed my vote, and I think you should do Only Murders in the Building.

David vs. Film

Ahhhh ok there's the hook! Admittedly at first I thought, "Agghh another post apocalyptic show... what's hunting/infecting/killing us this time?" But then you throw in that part about the blindness, and that's very interesting. Especially if we also find out at some point that there's someone who CAN see, and no one knows why.... ;)

David vs. Film

Haha you're reading my mind on BOTH of those!! If I were to go the way of other reactors, yes, the biggest shows right now seem to be The Boys, Fallout, and Godzilla Minus One. Godzilla is a big contender, and I'm really interested in watching The Boys. My only hesitation with The Boys is that every time I try content like that, it doesn't really do well on the channel :(

David vs. Film

GOD yes!!! And it is HILARIOUS!! I tried multiple times to get Marc into it- when he was in a good mood, when we were on vacation, when he was drunk, all three.. - but it never took with him :( I loved it though. Mindy St. Claire in The Medium Place ALONE is worth watching for. lol

David vs. Film

Ahhh an EXCELLENT choice! I've only seen half of Season 1, and I got really hooked. That was about the time that I started the channel though, and all my time went to editing ;)

Sarah.the.clumsy

There's 3 seasons out and the fourth coming out in the fall. You just can't beat Steve Martin and Martin Short.

Sara Fauth

lol exactly ... and why might they be on the run and need protection from papa Momoa? dun dun dunnnnnnnnnn :D

Jon

You enjoyed Tolkien, but ROP isn't Tolkien 😆

Jon

I like Strangers Things, but it's not one I would care to revisit. Fallout, Peacemaker, or Hazbin Hotel for newer stuff. Hazbin is only 20ish min episodes and a short season. If you want a multi season to watch...Dexter? Psych? Stargate haha

Becky

I struggled to get into Bridgerton because it’s really really not my thing, but it’s so good.

Becky

Ahhh I don’t know how anyone could not like that show. It’s amazing. Okay, now I’ve suggested two shows that you already love, I’m going to suggest one I’ve assumed you’ve not seen. Jane the Virgin. It’s the most underrated show out there. There’s twist and turns pretty much every episode. I’ve watched it multiple times and each time I still get surprised by some things because there’s so much happening. Even if you don’t do it as a reaction (which would be a shame, as it’s my all time favourite show to introduce my friends to and see their predictions and reactions) you should watch it regardless. I don’t even know how to explain the show and do it justice, because not even the show promotions do it justice. But it’s so good and so addictive. Please watch it, for your sake.

Eileen

I see “See” being talked about. I got AppleTV for a free month or whatever just to see, “See” and “Come From Away”. I would choose See over Stranger Things any day. They both pull you right in but since you don’t have THAT much time and have to choose (where as I have too much time and can watch them all) See would get that vote. Altho, I also totally loved Dexter. ;-) Come From Away, is a play/musical, that is totally worth seeing as well. In the free month of AppleTV, I think I watched it 20 times.

Pam and Mike Thompson

I voted for something else since we've never watched Stranger Things and don't really see us getting into it. I know we've talked about it before, but I'd love to watch y'all watch Lost even though you've already seen it!

Calbah

I voted for Stranger Things because I know it's great, and I don't know what "something else" will be. Thanks, pessimistic brain. 😬😆

Tammy Davis

I love Stranger Things and think you would too but if not I recommend Fringe or Sense8.

KatiesGoldenDust

I voted yes to Stranger Things, but I like John C's idea of Fallout. It would be quick and easy, and it's such a fun show!

Daren Queen

Sense8 Is amazing and so is stranger things. Both would be great to react too.

Fizzbuzz

These are all great ideas but you could always just do even more Taskmaster🤣 (yes I have a one track mind). If you haven't seen Good Omens I think you'd enjoy it whether you do it on or off the channel. (You might like season 2 as well, but I haven't seen it so 🤷). I don't expect you to take me seriously (you shouldn't, I'm fickle and arbitrary). ❤️ Glad you survived the storm, hope life returns to normalcy sometime soon.

David vs. Film

OMG I watched the first season of Sense8 and LOVED it. Still need to finish. Did you ever watch Dark on Netflix?

David vs. Film

Hahahaha you are too funny. I've only had a couple of friend recommend Good Omens, but they recommended it HARD. Big fans who said the same thing as you.

David vs. Film

Fringe! There's a blast from the past! I never saw it, but that's the first show I remember hearing so much about John Noble from.
