I'm in Game of Thrones mode over here, editing this week's S6 video before Marc & I begin watching Season 7 later tonight. But this old Letterman video popped up in my feed, and I had to share it. David Letterman was one of my comedy idols growing up, and any appearance of Richard Simmons on his show never disappointed. This was one of my absolute favorite segments ever, and I hope you guys enjoy it too! RIP Richard :(

Was there anything better than The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson followed by Late Night with David Letterman in the 80s?!?

OMG please do!! It's by far the best thing to ever come out of Whose Line! You will cry tears from laughter!

I feel bad for Dave Attell that he had to follow that. I wish I had the self-confidence to make fun of myself as publicly as Richard Simmons did. He was such a joy.

I'm sure you've seen it already, but Richard Simmons was the all-time greatest guest on Whose Line is it Anyway? Here's a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-r4Flc_d2M EDIT: just realized Katie beat me to it. I'll leave the link here though.

I JUST watched this!! Richard Simmons was iconic. He really took on the Jack LaLane mantra of "Stay active. Stay healthy" to heart. Richard was alllllways a good sport and just wonderful in every way. He did an interview with Niel Cavuto later in life when he learned physical education was taken out of school. It's very emotional but worth a watch. He reveals a lot. Very touching.
