'SUP Awesome Patrons! Besides the obvious that this is a) a Spider-Man movie, and b) animated, I did not know much else about 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. But boyyyy do I remember the hype at the time! So I was glad to FINALLY sit down and watch what so many of you have (VERY CORRECTLY!) labeled a "must watch". It is PHENOMENAL!!!

Here is my unedited, full-length reaction to Into the Spider-Verse, and I would love it if you watch along with me. Definitely be sure to let me know your thoughts if you do! I've provided the unblurred version up top via Streamable (just click the photo thumbnail), and the link for the blurred YouTube version can be found here: https://youtu.be/CSo1e5Q7LRw.  For those watching the blurred version, remember that you'll need your own copy of the episode to sync up.

Thanks as always for your incredible support, and I hope you have a great rest of the day/night!

Such a great movie and somehow, spoilers, they managed to create something equally as amazing for the sequel. As for your comment on anime, I'm no anime expert but for a one and done first look in movie form, Akira (1988) might be a good place to dip your toe in. The story is kinda wacky but it definitely deserves it's status as one of the all time greats.

This movie was so good and impressive. I remember leaving the theater with my friend who is a comic artist and both of us just being blown away. I had a good time watching along with you -- I actually did it while working through a panic attack and it was a pretty good distraction despite still feeling the gross symptoms.

Thank you, Dylan!! Yeah, I really have been meaning to expand my horizons into anime for a while now, and I've also gotten recommendations for Spririted Away and Princess Mononoke. I appreciate the thoughts on Akira as well!

Awww Sara! Thank you :) That makes me feel so good knowing that I could help in some way my friend. Yeah, I'm nowhere near an expert in animation, but I could tell this was something special. So well done, and the style and timing were also additional elements that I thought were just great. But really looking back now after a little while removed from it, it was the blending of traditional comics and movie animation that I liked the most, probably.
