'SUP Awesome Patrons! We're on a glass bridge of emotions!! I don't even know where to begin.. I feel like we covered about 75 miles of action and development in one hour with this episode, "VIPs". If we weren't sold on this show before now (and we were), this would have done it!

I've provided the unblurred version of our reaction up top (just click the photo thumbnail), and the link for the muted, watchalong version can be found here: https://youtu.be/V3WnB7CSPLo. (Keep in mind those of you opting for the watch along version that you will need your own copy of the show to sync up.)

Thanks as always for your incredible support, and we hope you have a great rest of the day/night!

Sorry in advance for the long comment. I don't think his friend from home is a good guy. How 'good' can you really be if you can screw someone over, and then not show any guilt or remorse after they're killed? I know you suggested he's just able to compartmentalise, but surely there's a limit. Maybe he's not 'evil', but I wouldn't say 'good' either. (I wrote that when you first said it, but I just got to the point where he pushed the dude, and you're rethinking the compartmentalising comment hahaha.) This game would probably be my least favourite so far. I am terrified of falling; it's a recurring nightmare. I think I'd just jump quickly across at random, and if I die, I die. No point prolonging the anxiety. (Okay, I've been pausing and writing as I've had thoughts, and I just came back to this because a dude did just what I was saying I'd do!) David, it's so funny how you got excited about having the same thoughts as the elites. Should I be concerned? The YouTuber, Mr Beast, did a recreation of Squid Game a few years ago with members of the public for a half-million cash prize. Obviously, without the death, haha. It cost $3.5m to produce (for a half-hour video). People applied by purchasing his merch, following and sharing his socials, etc. But the irony of the whole thing was that this show is a clear critique of capitalism, depicting how the wealthy exploit the poor for entertainment, which is basically what Mr Beast then did! It seems like such a blatant lack of awareness of the show's message. Anyway, I'm glad we've got two episodes left because I'm assuming the next episode will be the final game, so I'm hoping the finale will be back in the 'real world' and we'll get some more answers.

Just coming in with a second comment, because I just decided to watch episode 1 again but this time in Korean with English subtitles. I was curious as to how each actor’s voice compared to the English dubs. And something worth noting I think, especially after this VIP episode, is that when the masked dude is talking on the phone in episode 1 he is talking in English. Which now following this episode, we know why. But obviously we don’t realise that when watching the dubbed version as he’s masked. So originally as an audience, we’re actually made aware that the ‘clients’ are international.

Girl you KNOW how much I talk.. do you really think I'm gonna judge a long comment? haha. I love it! 100% with you, btw, on the fear of falling. I would be just as panicked about literally losing my footing and falling as the glass breaking. And yes, you should always be concerned hahaha

i'm glad you clarified this because I thought that the English "dubbing" was exceptionally good a couple of times haha One character who HAS to sound better in her native Korean than the dub version is Crazy B*tch/Grandma/Grandma Noodle. She sounds exceptionally goofy in parts.
