Marc reminded me that Friday is Groundhog Day, so we did a quick change to the schedule in order to watch the Bill Murray classic!

Here is the unedited, full-length version of our reaction, and we would love it if you watched along with us. Definitely be sure to let us know your thoughts about the film if you do. I've provided the unblurred version up top via Streamable (just click the photo thumbnail), and the link for the blurred YouTube version can be found here: https://youtu.be/7xu5dCGLQ7s. For those watching the YouTube version, remember that you'll need your own copy of the movie to sync up.

Thanks as always for your incredible support, and I hope you have a great rest of the day/night!

Wow, I'm surprised you guys had no idea what the premise was. Very cool, and appropriately, this is the kind of film I can watch over and over.

David vs. Film

Haha, well technically *I* did, as I had seen it once before, but I didn't want to spoil it for Marc :) Honestly though, this was one of those, I-saw-it-once-20-years-ago movies for me, so any surprise or disbelief beyond the general premise is genuine ;)

It was actually filmed in Illinois, primarily in a town called Woodstock that's north of Chicago. They also filmed some of Planes, Trains, and Automobiles there. Bill Murray was born in September 1950. He was 42 when the movie came out and 41 during filming, which (no offense to Bill) makes me feel better about how I look at 47. Also, that was Michael Shannon. I've seen Groundhog Day a hundred times and have never noticed that!

David vs. Film

Hellooooo!!!! Hope your weekend is going well :) Ok so first I love when there is something you've never caught before in a movie that you've seen over and over- makes me feel justified in my quest to watch my favorites over and over ;) Second, I 100% get what you mean with your reference to his age/appearance. Often it works the other way, so that's a nice feeling lol.

I decided to look up Brian Doyle-Murray's age during Groundhog Day, and he's five years older than his brother Bill. So, he actually was my age and I feel even better! 😂
