Any doubts I may have had about Taskmaster were completely erased after Episode 2.. High-five a 55 year old, The Pie Whisperer, Do an Activity in Reverse.. so good!! Not to mention that giant bottle of Vueve!

I’m here purely for Taskmaster at this stage haha. Also sticking round for more UK shows like Cats Does Countdown and other such fun. But delighted that you’re sticking with Taskmaster for the foreseeable future. I forgot this episode had Tree Wizard 🌲 🧙‍♂️

Apparently the contestants hated the high-five a 55-year-old task, especially Tim, and Alex didn't want the show to feel like a prank show, so there aren't many tasks involving strangers going forward. They do leave the house for tasks though - in the later series they have some fun locations. It's funny rewatching the early series too because the house is so bare! The set improves so much and has some really cool themes down the line. Also, if you don't like seeing Alex eat gross stuff... well, I'll just say it doesn't get better hahah. Glad you're enjoying! Tim is my favourite in S1, but I was rooting for Josh. Roisin is so bad at the game and I love it.

Ohhh that's cool that the house gets modified and enhanced. I guess that's another reason it's a good idea to go in order. I get what they mean about the "prank show" aspect, though this was pretty mild. I wouldn't say prank shows are a pet peeve of mine per se, but I do get reasonably uncomfortable watching shows where they intentionally mess with people (day care facility pretending they lost someone's kid, valet making someone think their car was stolen, etc.) and then film them getting angry. At this point Roisin is my favorite (duh), but only because I find her really funny. Talent-wise, even though he hasn't won yet, I actually feel like Romesh is one of the best competitors.

Yeah, it's definitely a lot of fun to notice the differences in the house and especially the garden! I agree about prank shows. I think Alex was more concerned with the contestants feeling uncomfortable than the public, I reckon. Romesh is great. I love all of the contestants.
