This show just keeps getting better, and Episode 3: The Egg and the Poet, was simply hilarious. I don't know how they come up with these tasks!

Here is the unedited, full-length version of my reaction to this episode, and I would love it if you watched along with me. Definitely be sure to let me know your thoughts about It if you do. I've provided the unblurred version up top via Streamable (just click the photo thumbnail), and the link for the blurred YouTube version can be found here: https://youtu.be/0rmJwpOEgGM. For those watching the YouTube version, remember that you'll need your own copy of the episode to sync up (I found them free on YouTube, fyi).

Thanks as always for your incredible support, and I hope you have a great rest of the day/night!

If you use a dictionary to look up the word dictionary, it will tell you the meaning behind Roisin bringing in a dictionary 😂 Love the vids dude!

Aaaah, I'm so late! I'll answer your question - Frank, Romesh, and Josh are all very successful and were pretty big names for series 1, but Frank is 100% the wealthiest as he's been in the comedy game far longer than the others. Have you heard the "football's coming home" song? He did that in the 90s. We've almost got him to thank for Taskmaster in a way because Alex has said that Frank agreeing to the show was what got others on board. Romesh is very big here for his stand-up and for presenting TV and radio shows. Josh is most well-known for The Last Leg, a left-wing political talk show over here - they do a lot of disability awareness stuff, especially around the paralympics, and Josh is like the token non-disabled host on there hahah. Roisin and Tim were less well known; Roisin's mostly an actress and a comedy writer, Tim's sort of a comedic poet. Tim has a YouTube game thingy with Alex and another comedian, Mark Watson, called No More Jockeys. That's some background for you! Enjoyed your reaction and very glad you're so invested :D Josh's tattoo is a classic.

Happy Britboxing! I get British humour pretty naturally. As you know, I was born in Edinburgh but grew up in New Zealand. NZ TV during the 80s broadcast shows that were about 40% from the US, 30% from the UK, 20% from Australia and 10% from NZ (mostly current affairs and kid's shows.) Plus my Dad was English. I watched Blackadder, The Young Ones, Blakes 7 etc on their first broadcast in NZ. Plus of course, I have lived nearly 20 years in England. My first year here I actually watched the DVD boxsets of the first couple of seasons of QI. As you see more British panel shows you will start to recognise more and more people who turn up on shows like 8 out 10 Cats does Countdown or QI. You will love them!

Greg rarely appreciates the kind of humor that Roisin displayed in the prize task. I love the idea that a dictionary has the most meaning because it has the meanings of every word in it. It frustrates me that Greg doesn't usually like it when someone twists the words of the prize task to come up with a simple, silly solution.

Glad you got Britbox. I fall asleep most nights with either QI or a British mystery in the background. QI is what led me to my love of British panel shows. David Mitchell is a frequent QI guest and that is what led me to WILTY. Jimmy Carr is too, which led me to 8 out of 10 Cats/Cats Does Countdown. I had already seen them in sitcoms or stand-up, but not panel shows. Something close to 50 Taskmaster contestants have been on QI at least once.

QI is a classic, it’s been on since 2003 and had 21 seasons. It’s a staple of British television. Definitely another one David could check out compilations for!

Aww thank you so much for the recommendations and guidance as always. You've been all over the place! I mean I know I've heard you mention this before, but every time you remind me, it just hits all over again- this guy's LIVED lol.

Yeah, honestly 99% of my time is spent either recording or editing (easily the bulk of it), but I can see getting into some of these shows on Britbox. I really need to find out where I can catch new episodes of Graham Norton- I don't think it has that kind of stuff, and I don't get BBC America with my Hulu television plan.

Thank you so much as always for informing me on my random questions ;) I really am one of those people who likes to have the gaps filled in with regards to behind the scenes details. Even as a kid whenever I'd see live performances at the theater, I'd try to see behind the curtain, backstage, etc., and of course I always wanted to know how magicians were doing their tricks and things like that. There is a GREAT series on Netflix called The Movies that Made Us where they tell the stories behind some of the most iconic movies. That's right up my alley.

I think AMC+ and Acorn TV are the only streaming services that have the most recent season of Graham Norton if you don't have BBC America. I have both added to my Amazon account, but I haven't watched enough AMC content to be worth it. Acorn TV, which is owned by AMC, has a lot of British, Australian, and New Zealand mysteries. I'm currently watching a NZ show called Brokenwood Mysteries that is fun so far. You can get most of the best Graham Norton stuff on YouTube. The show's YT channel puts out so many clips of recent episodes that you can probably forgo spending money and still satisfy your cravings. 😆
