well, actually in the last episode of lucky cyan arc it takes place in the same timeline in the E-soul arc, you see in the last scene, Shang Chao father, is entering the same place where his son was killed.

Arashi

This arc didn't have a sad ending like Lin Ling and E-Soul's arcs were, but damn did it hit with a huge impact. Even with it being the fourth time seeing it, the plan crash 'truth' still caused tears. As for timelines... the year after commission that pops up is your best guide. The plane crash from the beginning was at 23 after commission (ac) Cyan meets Luo in year 28 AC. Year 34, Cyan leaves the orphanage. Year 36, Yang Chang and the E-Soul arc. Year 37, End of Cyan's (official) arc. Year 41, Lin Ling's story arc. Still a lot more to cover, but those are the date/years of the first three arcs you've gotten to so far.

i’m not sure if you noticed but i’m fairly certain the 2d animation style has changed with every use of it. it’s pretty interesting.

This show is one of the rare exceptions where it's definitely worth paying attention to the year shown. I highly recommend Arashi's comment, because the years appear in practically every episode :D
