Quick fun fact about fire that might help you understand Azula a little better… blue flames are not hotter than red flames. when a fire is burning, the point at which it turns blue is where the chemical reaction is burning at its most perfect rate and ratio. So Azula bending blue flames isn’t her bending hotter than others, it’s her bending the flames at the most perfect state of their chemical reaction. She is at heart, a perfectionist. Earlier, when she was practicing on her ship, her mentors even were coaching this into her, with an “almost perfect” knowing that she would hate that and try again after her angry “almost isn’t good enough!”
