Fun facts about Sokka’s sword master Piandao. His character design was a reference by the makers of Avatar to Sifu Kisu, the martial arts consultant for the series. He was also voiced by Robert Patrick, best known for his roles as the T-1000 from Terminator 2: Judgement Day and Auggie Smith (AKA the White Dragon) from Peacemaker. Plus, a comic revealed that he was the one who taught Zuko swordsmanship.

What a fantastic episode!!! So much emotion in the sokka and iroh stories of this episode. 💕 and don’t worry about your internet, I completely understand because I am also on vacation in Hawaii🤣 the internet situation is….. rough at times, to say the least. Take all the time you need to upload them, I am just glad that you are enjoying the series so much!! 💕

This episode is one of my favorites. Sokka is the everyman. The character who most viewers naturally relate to the most, since we lack supernatural powers. And seeing him get something like this is huge for a non-bender. Also, they really respected Mako's legacy with buff Iroh. If there is an afterlife, he saw the character he voiced turning badass while fooling guards into thinking he was feeble
