Great episode, I agree

One of my favorite episodes 👏

Small clarification, Aang doesn't know that Roku is Zuko's great-grandfather. Only Zuko learned that, from Iroh. Roku has no way of knowing, he wasn't alive to see it, his story to Aang concludes with his death. That's why in Zuko's case, it's Iroh, someone who was present to learn of Ursa's ancestry, who tells him.

God, I loved this episode even more after watching Korra.

Drake Chuckle

One of the best episodes of the series

Duncan Cofell

Roku's dragon wrapping himself around Roku at the very end always gets me :(

T

Firelord Sozin's first instinct was to go save his friend :(

Andrew Diseker

The writing in Season 3 is what makes this the best season, and what makes the whole series a classic. In my opinion of course.

David Hansen

so sokka knows there aren't any bathrooms in the spirit world because he was trapped 24 hours back in season 1. the first thing he said was I have to go to the bathroom after being freed from hei bai.

Frederick

The best episode in the series 🔥

Dandy Zoran

The visual contrast between Zuko and Iroh was always a strong part of this ep. Though Iroh is the one locked in the cell, he is shown to be enlightened and free while Zuko is shown to be imprisoned despite being "free".

Man, sick voice actor pickup! You called that perfectly. That's him. Very distinct voice, too. Absolutely a credit to English dubs

I honestly think he had removed any possibility that his plans would work after his confrontation with Roku, he genuinely came to help. It wasn't until Roku was dying that he realized he still had a chance to go through with it.
