A Little Update (Patreon)

Hi everyone. So after a couple of weeks of dealing with migraines and monitors, I think I finally have everything set to let me start working again!
I have been migraine free since I stopped using the old cintiq. I've had the new one for a week now and I haven't had any problems in regards to migraines.
I was having one problem with it though. The old one had that large bezel on the outside of it, that put the drawing surface a couple of inches higher than the desk top. The current one only has about an inch of clearance. You can see the difference in these two images:
So, in order to fix this, I had to start looking at stands and arms. And my roommate Jeri pointed out a graphics tablet stand made by XP Pen, which was half the price of wacom's stand. So I bought that and had to wait a couple of days for that to come in.
Now I have this!
The best part! It can do this!
(Yes, that's my childhood Snoopy doll on my desk. I always try to keep it nearby). When I used to do the old Black Tapestries comics, I would draw them on paper, scan them in, and then color them. And drawing traditionally, I would often rotate the notebook or the paper to make drawing certain things easier. When I got the old Cintiq, rotating the monitor was not possible. Rotating the canvas was something I could do, but it was clumsy and my computer didn't like it too much. It made drawing laggy and difficult.
But now, after 13 years of going fully digital, I can rotate the monitor as I need to! I can't wait to give this a try!
Anyway, I finally have the setup. But I haven't been able to work on the comics for the past two weeks. So I'm not going to update this week. I will be busting my ass trying to get 3 pages done. And I will try not to do a buffer build week at the end of October.
This might be a bit difficult. I'm going out of town this weekend so I can't work at all this weekend. And we will be running our Halloween plot for Kaerwyn in the next week or so.
But at least the new setup is complete and I haven't had a migraine at all since I took down the old Cintiq.
I just hope this new one is as good and reliable as the old Cintiq.
