One of the greatest special events in the DCAU. Period. All I have to say in that lol. Also yeah that’s just Joker’s redesign for TNBA. Terrible, they sapped all his color, but I’ve gotten over it. At least Harley looked the same in the new style.

They were able to add some details in this movie that aren't in the show, because of animation budgets. It doesn't look as bad here because of all the detail they were able to put into it. Ultimately, his original design was too expensive and painstaking to animate, and was too inconsistent. At least that's what I heard

Understandable, although I think it’s fair to agree that Joker and Riddler most definitely got the worst redesigns regardless. You know it’s bad when on the THBA DVD commentary track where they talk about the redesigns, they avoid Joker entirely lmao

hey Meg, just to clarify, despite Martha's slip up in "Father's Day" Lois does not know that Clark is Superman. But I think you're right in that she's starting to develop a deeper relationship and friendship with Clark.

Oh yeah this was when Superman & Batman crossed paths for the first time! Yeah Lois was really into Bruce for a while there, that is until she found out he was Batman and how he didn't communicate with her much afterwards. So after it was all over she broke it off deciding that he wasn't the one for her after all. So Clark has a chance at Lois again, if he finally even goes for it instead of waiting too long. Also that catfight between Harley & Mercy was just CRAZY!!!🤣🤣🤣

Materialism: "excessively concerned with material possessions; money-oriented." Batmans obsession is and will always be the mission, at least for all the good iterations. Very little matters to him other than this. We don't see him rip off people, go on shopping sprees, or fritter away money that's neither helping the community or making him a better hero. Whether Catwoman is materialistic can depend on the interpretation, but she, being a thief, is absolutely concerned with gaining money for a glamorous lifestyle, mostly. But as they say, opposites attract. Sorry but I have to call you out on it. Batman is NOT materialistic

Just got finished watching this reaction and yeah I agree with you, this was everything! This was also exactly what I wanted you and Caleb to see when it comes to Clark and Bruce's relationship. I’m not a fan of them fighting at all like they did in the Dark Knight Returns, BVS, and other iterations in the comics. Though a lot of the fighting is mainly due to them being mind controlled. And while yes there was tension between them at first, especially with Lois in the middle, they were able to get passed that and become friends. I’m so happy you got to see the more brotherly relationship that they usually have as they both look to each other as close/best friends. And after watching this, I can't wait for you to see their relationship develop even more in Justice League as well as seeing their relationship develop with the other League members. I didn't remember that Mercy and Harley fight but that was amazing and hilarious. Especially with Joker and Lex having a casual conversation during it. I'm so excited to see your reaction to the rest of the season as the episodes are just banger after banger. I'm excited for when you start season 3 of BTAS or as it's called "The New Batman Adventures"/TNBA. I'm adding this to the list as being another one of your best reactions!

This was awesome, I think we were all eager for the worlds finest arc. It was great to have Caleb on this too. It made it more of an event. The Popeye sailer dude was Bibbo Bibbowski, he was in the pilot episode, Lois gave him change to call the daily planet to get help but Bibbo spent it at a soda machine. Well a "Soder machine" actually. He's a trusted source of info for Lois and Clark for the Daily planet. Lot's of crime and news happens at the docks apparently. "I don't like guns" Me: Batman, you have high explosive missiles on your jetpack glider in this episode but guns are too much? But seriously I do think Batman has trauma with guns, but not trauma with say explosives. "Puddin!", Batman: At this point he probably is. That's my favorite line in this.

This is a great example of how charming bruce is in universe. lois before meeting bruce "Gotham is a trash city full of trash people." Lois a week after meeting bruce "Smallville im moving to gotham."

One of the biggest, best-executed events of the DCAU, definitely served its purpose in getting people psyched for Justice League in a way that BvS could only dream of. Really took its time establishing the strange love/hate relationship between our two heroes as well as giving Lex and Joker lots of conversation time. I also like that you didn't seem to mind the Joker's redesign, which some took issue with. It's a bit less detailed but still definitely the same character.

Have you ever watched Star Trek next generation, I have been revisiting it lately and I am amazed at how much that show influenced so many of my progressive sensibilities. The other thing I was going to say, which has just come back to me. Out of interest what expanded Star Wars books are you on? May I suggest The Thrawn Trilogy, starting with 'Heir to the Empire'. The Star Wars audiobook's are really good, especially if they're read by Mark Thompson.. I love his Han Solo. I always say that Bruce and Selena are perfect for each other because anyone else besides Selena would be afraid of or put off by him being Batman, and anyone else but Bruce would be too boring for Selena because she craves the excitement and danger.

So happy Caleb got to join you for this & omg Lex & Joker togther was great I always laugh at the Harley and Mercy fight it’s not only funny but you can see why they wrote it the way they did showing Joker and Lex are strong in certain aspects and then so are the girls. Joker is very smart for how crazy he is not as smart as Lex but smart non the less same goes for Bruce and Clark seeing how both teams try to deal with the other is great lol. Seeing how much you loved this your gonna love Justice League & Batman beyond sooo many good character stories
