Wait?! I literally just refreshed my patreon and then this popped up. Omg thanks for treating us with another DC reaction today Meg!

The Amazing Webhead

Uh yes the Christmas episode! Lots of fun and basically a day in the life of the Bat Family. A lot going on this season but excited for you to watch with both BTAS & STAS as we’re close to Justice League & Batman Beyond. :)

Will Frangules

I can already tell 'Girls night out' is gonna be one of your favorite episodes this season

Hey Meg, So this episode was really the showcase for the new animation style that Superman TAS standardized moving forward. Which is why there’s several villains and stories involving the bat family. So expect to see more episodes focused on them as it goes on. Additionally, pay attention to Batman/Bruce himself as there are several moments of character development for him throughout the show. Kevin Conroy masterfully communicates Batman’s subtle changes through his voice in this series compared to the previous one. Can’t wait for justice league and Batman beyond, I recommend watching them simultaneously similar to how you view Superman/batman since they are so very far apart in timeline that they don’t spoil each other.

I mean you saw how young Dick was when Bruce recruited him right or took him in he was like 9 and was Robin into his college years, Jason was maybe like around the same age when Bruce first met him and was only Robin for 3 or 4 years before he was killed to become Red Hood. And the art design for Joker does change in Justice League but its a perfect look of how he looked in S1 of BTAS and this, Bruce looks the same as he does here and you see him get to age its great

Mage Reacts

I'm gonna speed watch so I can get to that episode, the title already has me hooked 🤣

Mage Reacts

Oh that's a great idea! Because people can't decide which to watch first. I like having a rotation, so I think I'll do this after STAS S3 and BTAS are over!

That power of Clayface is definitely new with him being able to separate himself into multiple people. The voice actor is still the same person that being Ron Perlman. Clayface has another episode this season and it’s definitely one of my favorites of this show. So I can’t wait for you to get to it! Also idk if you noticed another thing that was unfortunately changed with the New Batman Adventures is they no longer have those amazing title cards at the beginning of the episodes like in BTAS. They just show the episode title like they do in STAS

Naw

That is indeed STILL Mr. Ron, Put Respect On His Name, Perlman voicing Clayface. He's also voicing the Joker Goon that fights Tim, as well as one of the Signing Patrons in the last Short.....

Batman tends to struggle a bit more with ivy and harley, because he views them both as redeemable, so he doesnt go at them as hard as he does someone like joker or bane who he doesnt see any chance of redeeming, he tends to get caught off guard by his more redeemable villians, that good heart bruce has that we all love certainly gets him into trouble at times lol

Definitely a more fun episode than Christmas with the Joker. Compilation episodes like this are good at getting to the heart of the action right away- just look at Almost Got 'Im or Gotham Knight. The final fight scene also demonstrates how the new season was given a looser standard for violence- aging with its audience. Along with the art style change this does a good job conveying a time skip of perhaps a few years since last season. Ivy's hatred of Christmas trees is natural for her but also carried over from a rejected concept for an Ivy story where she was sabotaging them, but in this case I appreciate that aside from Joker none of the rogues were up to anything TOO evil for Christmas, just petty theft. Robin being so young does spark a few subconscious protective instincts, but remember that Grayson started around the same age, we just didn't see it. And last episode showed us how capable Tim Drake is.

In Bane's case I don't think he's altogether evil, a villain/anti-hero, also a man of honor with a respect for Batman, they were even allies at one point. During a time when he was believed dead, Bane acted heroically saving a little girl from some thugs, all in his name. "I need to know the name of the man who saved my daughter." "The Batman. The Batman saved your daughter, Mr. Cooper."

This and Christmas With The Joker always get a rewatch from me around Christmastime! 😁

Brandon Gibbs

This was some Christmas episode! My favorite part was when Harley & Ivy abducted Bruce and made him take them on a Christmas shopping spree! Then that was funny how he then caught them with that big tree and it was what Harley wanted🤣 Anyway like I said I look forward to seeing you watch Justice League TAS but you should also watch STATIC SHOCK⚡

I'm with you there, definetly a traditional holiday watch for the future! Like somebody else mentioned, Dick started being Robin about the same age as Tim here, or younger. Still child endangerment though😂Considering that Dick had to wear this same outfit until he was 17 https://heroesandaliens.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/dick-grayson-as-robin-george-perez.jpg You can't blame him for stepping out of Batman's shadow, just so he can finally wear some PANTS!

Matthew Cronin

I think the new designs are all perfect except for the joker. He needs the lipstick.
