Helloooo! I wanted to try something different today and read comics with ya!

We had success with the readalong Portal comic on my main channel, and since I react so strongly AS I read things, wanted to experiment with a readalong format.

It's zoomed in to transform enough for Fair Use, so you'll have to have your own copy, or let me podcast it for you LOL.

If there are any other comics you'd like me to read with this format, especially Marvel, lmk! We have Marvel unlimited, which makes it easy to put it on screen.

May the Force be with you. 🌟

Can't wait for her to get to Kieron Gillen's run. I would also recommend Jason Aaron's run of Star Wars from 2015.

Especially since they cross over with each other.

The Daredevil comics by Chip Zdarsky are awesome would be fun to see you dive into those ^^

This is an awesome idea, and your star wars reactions in general have been second to none. Takes me right back to my childhood and evokes the kind of thought provoking discussions that star wars should evoke. Keep up the great work!

yes please read other comics, there so good and they fill in gaps between the movies, plus I haven’t read these in a long time, so it’ll be nice to read along with you on these, can’t wait for you to read about how he bleeds his crystal, it is really sad

Well, prejudiced, but I loved doing this and since you are enjoying it, I encourage you to keep going. Soule’s Vader run is amazing, you picked a good place to start. Only FYI is the arcs are all typically five issues. Regarding the Barash Vow, that’s mostly referenced in The High Republic books and comics.

Oh yeah ever since the Portal readalong, I'm so here for more of these read alongs. I don't really have any specific recommendations on certain comics at the moment but I would love to have read alongs to not only more Star Wars comics but also Marvel and DC. There's also some Transformers comics that I'd love a read along to as a fan of Transformers myself and also cause I'd love to see you react to some Transformers content at some point. The comics especially I’d love to see a read along to more though cause they go much deeper into the lore than any of the movies and shows do and do a far better job explaining it. But I'm excited to follow along with all these comics! This was so fun!

Since you enjoyed X-Men, you should do a read along for Wolverine: Origin and Weapon X. Wait until after watching X-Men 2 though.

Okay so when thinking about what other comics I'd love to see a read along to (specifically DC ones), I'd love to see ones for Batman: War on Crime, Kingdom Come, Superman for All Seasons just to name a few. I believe they're on the DC Universe Infinite app, which is their equivalent to Marvel Unlimited

Love this readalong format! If I were to recommend something for the read along I would recommend everything because comics are a wonderful medium. But since you can't read everything Supergirl woman of tomorrow, Geoff Johns legendary Green Lantern run, and Wonder Woman by Brian Azzarello are fun reads. I would also like to throw Deadman: Dark Mansion of Forbidden Love into that because it feels like i'm the only one who read it and I think it's pretty cool. I would love to recommend other comics outside of DC but im still a bit of a newbie to things like Marvel and Star Wars.

I haven't read this comic in so long, so I had forgotten how well spoken and stalwart the Jedi that Vader is hunting is. His resolve in the light, despite it being unorthodox, is stronger than ever when faced with the darkness that consumed all the other Jedi.

Catching up and just watched this one - Wrt Mace Windu, it may be worth putting somewhere on your growing reading list, the only full length novel focused on Mace - Shatterpoint by Matthew Stover. (But be aware, it's technically now a Legends novel - the fates of some characters in the novel changed a bit, and I can't say too much more w/o other spoilers. Mace is still Mace though.) Stover also did the novelization of Revenge of the Sith, so you already know his style. It's intense, gritty, complex, subtle personal, vivid. I can't recall if there's much about Mace's purple saber in there, but there's all kinds of stuff about how and why a Jedi like Mace might have worked with balance in the Force, both light and dark.
