Elektra doesn't really get off on control. It looks way deeper than that. She likes the violence. She wasn't all ecstatic controlling Matt cause he wasn't really listening to her. He didn't kill him like she wanted. She liked the actual violence of it. She was so aroused when she asked him to kill him.

I like that we get both Punisher and Elecktra who are both killers and Matt has to deal with both of their idieoligies essentially and Matt and Elecktra together I love more than him with Karen but I like how you can see the differences. With Eleckra least in the flashback Matt is able to fully be himself around her but with Karen he's hiding half his life and personality from. Love this show marvel has some good character driven stories and its the same with Catwoman or Talia only with Catwoman Bruce doesn't tell her shit yet he lets Talia know who he is just fine he can be himself around her in the animated series anyway. Then Black cat from Spiderman lol superhero's love toxic women

Yeah I don't know much about Elektra but from what I do know is that she has been depicted as being both a villain and hero to Daredevil and one of his love interests in the comics. Another thing is that her character was created by Frank Miller, the same man who wrote Batman: Year One and The Dark Knight Returns. He also wrote Daredevil: Born Again and Daredevil: The Man Without Fear, which are two amazing comics. Maybe we could get a readalong of those at some point. I do agree that she does remind me of Talia al Ghul in how she acts. I also agree with the differences between Elektra and Punisher on their views of killing. Elektra likes the violence of it whereas Punisher kills because he believes that it has to be done. He doesn't take pleasure in killing but he believes so strongly that there are some people who need to be killed, which is why he ends up in conflict with heroes like Captain America, Spider-Man, and of course Daredevil as they obviously don't at all agree with his methods. I love that we got more lore on Frank though and the reason why he hunted those specific gangs in the first few episodes as they were partially responsible for the death of his family. Also I forgot to mention this during your Suicide Squad reaction but I wanted to say I appreciate the idea Caleb had with layering the subtitles with the blurred video. I think it greatly helps out syncing things up. So tell him thank you for that. Also if you're not watching Wonder Woman for the next DCEU reaction and moving onto the next one, make sure that you watch "Zack Snyder's Justice League" from 2021. With it being 4 hours long, I wouldn't be surprised and wouldn't blame you if you decide to split it into multiple parts cause it's going to be a long one

Oh yeah, definitely watching JL next, but might take a little break to catch up on animated stuff (Batman x Superman Public Enemies, etc). And will split it into 2 parts 🤣🤣 I'm very excited though!

Oh nice! I'm definitely all for you catching up with more animated stuff cause you're so close to finishing BTAS and STAS and moving onto the next shows. And of course there are awesome animated DC movies like Public Enemies that you haven't seen yet. The thing that sucks though is I have to keep renting it because they keep removing them from Max. But can't wait though!

Eleckra is an important character in Matt’s life. Her and Karen are his two main love interests in the comics and both bring out different sides of Matt. Some would say they both are like the Angel & devil on his shoulders. Karen brings out his kind side and she’s the one that makes him genuine happy while Elektra brings out his Daredevil side. Charlie Cox even acknowledge to the fans of the show for S2 that Matt being with Karen is the first time he felt any sort of happiness for a long time. Elektra is seen as an anti hero and villain over the years but there’s always that tension between her and Matt which is why when comic fans think of Matt’s love life in the comics, Elektra is the first to come to mind.

Continuing on with the last comment, the love triangle with Matt, Karen, & Elektra does give me Spider-Man, Mary Jane, & Black Cat vibes. I don’t know how familiar you are with Black Cat but she’s basically Marvel’s Catwoman to Spider-Man. While Mary Jane is the main love interest, Black Cat is now a days the second love in Peter’s life. She does have her toxic moments and again was part of a love triangle with Peter & Mary Jane but she grows as a character. Don’t want to say anymore in case you decide to read more Spidey comics or watch some of the cartoons or games which she appears in. Lol

Elektra is a controversial character in comics. You either like her or you hate her.

It's okay to have strong feelings about Elektra. She is definitely controversial. I don't think she is meant to be a good influence on Matt but she is an interesting element added to story, in comparison to Punisher and Karen.

Yeah, Elektra is not good for Matty, but I’ve always liked her character because it brings up these interesting story elements and brings out Matt’s dark side. I will say I think it was done better in Daredevil comics, particularly in Frank Miller’s run (one of the best comic book runs ever imo) where she was introduced. But yeah, I basically like her as a character that ya love to hate lol
