Of course this would happen lmfao!!

This episode really stuck with me though... Supes having to rely on other senses after being blinded (which also has his lasers!) "an eye for an eye" while also realizing the responsibility he wields with his powers, this mysterious but cool looking Irons character (the one earring is so slay), Luthor being a butt but also very smart and calm under pressure, etc! Oh and the shark. FREE THE SHARK 😤

I always thought Metropolis was like a fancier version of Boston but its all the upstate looking buildings and people, Nightwing goes to Bludhaven its like downtown New York I'd say lol. And the Justice League go all over I can't wait for you to get to the show! That aside I love how progressive this and batman series are, they depict Lex so well like you can see how manipulative he is while also seeing he is just human like everyone else he makes mistakes and isn't always right even the people he employee's it backfires on him when he tries to attempt something he didn't even listen to the John Irons guy when he told him of the risks

Good reaction! John Henry Irons is a pretty cool character in the Superman world. :)

Ooooo you're leaving me on a cliffhanger hehe

I believe the name John Henry Irons was mentioned in the New Frontier movie but I think this is the first time you've actually been introduced to him. He is a pretty cool character in Superman's lore. As for the cities, I've always heard Metropolis being either New York or Delaware, Gotham being either New York or Chicago and apparently you're actually right on with Nightwing's city, Blüdhaven, being in New Jersey as I believed it's mentioned that it is between Gotham and Atlantic City. But thanks again for another DC reaction. So happy you've been in a DC mood. The next STAS episode is a really good one. We're so close to finishing season 2. Only 7 episodes left or technically 5 episodes as the last 2 episodes are 2 parts. But I can't wait. Also hyped for the next BTAS or TNBA episode as well!

Watching this now I'm wondering if the writers were making a commentary on steroid abuse in police forces or if it was just a coincidence. Because watching it now I'm thinking, "Oh he has roid rage with that suit." I never noticed the Clark actually chuckles at Lex's comment on Lois always getting into trouble at the start of the episode. That's an interesting touch, he might dislike Lex but he can still laughs at his joke. This is the first time we see John Henry Irons in the show so you haven't missed anything. Though his voice actor also voiced the villain Kalibak in the episode Father's Day. Kalibak was the troll looking guy who wanted Darkseid's approval. In the "Superman Batman: Public Enemies" movie Lex has a flying super suit kind of similar to this prototype that he used to fight Superman. Now while this show and that cartoon movie aren't necessarily in the same continuity, I like to think that this prototype eventually developed into that super suit in the movie. If this suit was the "Version 1" of Lex's super villian suit than in "Superman Batman: Public enemies" it could be considered the "Version 26" or something like that. I like to imagine after every defeat Lex redesigns the suit with improvements and stuff for the next version.

Wonderful video megmage these superman reactions are by far my favorites on the channel. Very hyped for more x-men stuff in the future also.

Purple Yoshi

Fun fact about John Henry Irons, he’s based on Physicist and Comic/Cartoon writer Dwayne McDuffie whose name you’re going to see a lot in the credits of Justice League Unlimited

Once again Lex was quite stubborn about something that someone else made for him without thinking about the consequences of not testing it first. Also that was John Henry Irons aka Steel!

Also since you mentioned Star Wars, I can't wait for when you start the Green Lantern Animated Series since you can start it whenever as it's not connected to any of these shows. I'm interested to see if you draw comparisons between the Jedi and Sith to the other Lantern Corps as well as maybe comparing certain characters you've met in the Star Wars world to those you'll be introduced to in the Green Lantern show and comics (whenever you and Caleb decide to read them). Cause once you get more into the lore of the Green Lanterns and the other Lantern Corps, I'm curious to see if you guys may see some parallels between the Lanterns and Star Wars as you guys continue to learn more about both

I'm guessing you've probably read 'New Frontier' now, you remember the epilogue at the end of the book? (the movie too) There's a moment at the grave of John Wilson AKA John Henry with a kid reading next to it, like the Rick Flagg JR. bit which followed, that's a little reference to John Henry Irons (Steel)

I didn't find this one very memorable aside from introducing John Henry Irons who... we'll see more of later. Otherwise it's just a standard 'Superman stops Lexcorp project gone bad' story. Perhaps police corruption stories set in Gotham City would be more impactful? I do believe there are good people in the police force who want to protect everyone, but the culture and leadership can prove very toxic depending on the location. I don't know if I would recommend watching the Gotham TV show but it does have a few good looks into that kind of systemic corruption and how it affects a young naive Jim Gordon.

Yesss, the steroids observation is spot on! And I love the idea that this was a prototype that led to his suit.
