This is a personal favorite of mine. It’s in the top 5 of this series for sure but it’s hard to order them. Also this X-Men Theme Song is killer ❤️ can’t wait to watch this after I’m finished moving.

I love Charles & Eric’s friendship you can tell they used to be good friends before they split cause of their views on the mutant society . I like this movie a lot not just going a bit more into Logan’s past but even with Bobby & his parents how they responded to him being a mutant is like rejecting your child for coming out. Only issue I really have with this and the rest of the films they underuse Storm, Rogue and Cyclops sooo much especially Cyclops he's the damn leader of the X-men In the field lol and they replace it with Logan's story. Whenever you get into the Marvel animation X-Men the animated series & the sequel which is X-Men 97 you’ll love it goes deeper into those issues & the other characters. I'd say watch the original show first cause you will be confused by epsiode 3 of 97 of whats going on and who certain villains are cause its very fast paced. The 90’s Animated Spiderman also you gotta watch which connects to X-Men series & has more of the crossover stuff you been wanting , Blade, Daredevil, Kingpin etc.

nightcrawler is my number 1 favorite xman!!!

Brian Cox is an amazing William Stryker BUT I was very disappointed that the did away with his religious side and basically doubled down on his less important military origins. In the comics Stryker was a minister and former sergeant with a strong hatred towards Mutants. By the time of his first appearance in X-Men: God Loves, Man Kills (1982) he was a popular preacher and televangelist with VERY controversial views believing that Mutants were creations of Satan in a plot to corrupt and destroy humankind. He's a religious fanatic on a crusade against Mutant kind. Reverend Stryker gained a massive following thanks to his strong beliefs and was even backed by his own personal paramilitary groups called The Purifiers who go around committing hate crimes against Mutants or allies of the Mutant... Imagine if Stryker ran for the presidency... Scary stuff that would definitely not happen in real life. The film did away with this to focus on his military side by giving him the rank of Major and stating he was the one behind Mutant experimentation and the project that created The Wolverine. In the comics Stryker was only a Sergeant within the U.S Army with no connections to Wolverine's experimentation beyond a few hints in the comics after this film came out but nothing major. If you want to see Reverend William Stryker I highly recommend X-Men: God Loves, Man Kills (1982) a really amazing comic that highlights the character in his first appearance and is also the comic that inspired the story of X2 but with a Reverend Stryker.

You don’t *have* to watch all five seasons of X-Men the animated series before watching X-Men 97. But it will definitely help! At least watch thru the Dark Phoenix saga in the original series before diving into the new 97.

I didn't know Stryker had that deep a background and I've only really enjoyed the X-men cartoons outside of the movies too but when it comes to knowing more of the characters the cartoons definately express that more since they have more time compared to a movie

I'd love to see what she thinks of the 90's Spiderman cause I hope we get a Spiderman 98 lol he finally found MJ! & I'd be down to see what she thinks of Rogue's and everyones stories in the X-men show then 97 comapred to the movies cause Storm has no development

The Amazing Webhead

Good reaction as always! Glad you’re enjoying X-Men. Here are some non spoiler facts. One of Marvel’s best duos is actually Spider-Man & Wolverine. Their team ups are always great to see. Wolverine first debut in a Hulk comic actually before giving his entire backstory. There’s a animated film that adapts that comic called “Hulk vs” which would be a fun reaction. The X-Men & The Avengers relationship while a bit complicated, they do help out each other especially when The Avengers accepted Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver to the team and even Wolverine years later. Iron Man struggles against Magneto mostly due to his armor being metal. The love triangle between Logan, Jean, and Scott is a thing in most X-Men media. Lol

Mage Reacts

Luck and light for your move!! You got this!

Mage Reacts

No wayyyyy dude I love him so much 😭

Oh yeah he's lore goes deep. His history involving his wife and son is much darker in the comics than what we got in the film. One aspect they kept was his son being a Mutant who he saw as a gift from God. I don't think Stryker was used in the animation shows so he's very comic based at the moment while his movie counterpart is more military focused. So the comics are the only place you can go if you want to see Reverend William Stryker.

Bruce Wayne

I say this as someone who doesnt remember a lick of the original x-men cartoon, you dont have to watch it to watch 97 lol the new season is VERY new viewer friendly IMO but it would help to watch at least a few stand out episode. A friend of mine made a list of some essential episodes to watch for me since i dont wanna binge through 5 season lmao

Matthew Cronin

Loved the video! Thanks for the support.

58:20 Very, unfortunately. Stryker was originally a militant priest preaching against mutants in the comics, creating the 'Purifier' movement, and he's hardly the only one do to that. Great film though. The first X-Men got everything introduced so X2 could just run full speed start to finish, even the non-action scenes like at Bobby's house being full of interesting details.

Narutoanime16

I was confused when I watched episode 6 I had to watch a recap after lol but yea you don’t need to but I would love to see what she thinks of the original show after tho since it has a lot of development for Rogue & her powers , & the other X-Men as a whole

The Northlander

Another great reaction! I hope you eventually react to X-Men Origins: Wolverine. It was seen as a "bad movie" when it came out but it's pretty alright, and has some great moments.

Narutoanime16

Nightcrawler & Gambit were always my favorites on the team
