I’m literally just finishing up your rogue one reaction now and then jumping straight into this. Can’t wait.

Matthew Cronin

If this movie is your favorite yet, then you are gonna love literally all the rest of them. This is widely considered to be a “bad movie”. Not by me.

Matthew Cronin

Don’t worry Meg everyone is a Magneto apologist. Magneto is right. He just shouldn’t murder people.

HeroesKey

I never really paid attention to these X-Men movies but since watching them back, this one I’d say is one of my favorites. The other ones being Days of Future Past and Logan. I can understand you being a Magneto apologist since he and Charles really want the same thing for mutants. However Erik has more extreme and brutal methods that kind of make it hard to fully agree with him sometimes. It kind of reminds me a little bit of Transformers and the relationship with Optimus Prime and Megatron. Though with them their relationship it’s different and kind of inconsistent, depending on the comic and continuity. Also I got confused when it didn’t link me to the YouTube video like usual but I think I can work with format on here, even though it’s kind of funky. Thanks for the reaction this morning!!

Matthew Cronin

No, this isn’t the end of this cast. The Wolverine and Days of Future Past are sequels to this movie.

Matthew Cronin

Xavier transferred his mind into the body of a coma patient right before he died. He was teaching a class about it in the beginning of the movie.

FireBall_IA

Days of Future past is kind of a conclusion to this trilogy, kinda. I don't want to get into it because spoilers, but I think you'll love it. When you get to it, I suggest watching "The Rogue Cut" version of the movie

Mage Reacts

Who SAYS that?!?!? I will fight them. 🤣

Mage Reacts

Yessss, I've only seen one Transformers when I was younger, I definitely want to get into them again. I think I'll return to YouTube lol I wanted to try the updated Patreon player out but I prefer YT!

As others have said, this isn't the end of this cast's involvement in the series. The timelines are all weird in Fox's X-Men. There are still a ton of amazing stories in store. I was not happy with how this one ended either when I first saw it, but I think it has it's place in the whole series of films. In addition I would highly recommend the TV miniseries "Legion" as it is tangentially related to this universe as well and the first season especially is some of the best X-Men universe content I've seen. I can't remember where it belongs in the release order though I think you're safe to watch it now. (correct me if I'm wrong anyone)

Chinji

well it's mainly bc the face of the X-Men franchise dies in the first third of the movie and they didn't really did the Dark Phoenix storyline justice, but I can't deny this movie has some VERY good scenes (and sad some were cut from the movie)

DaftBasterd

The soundtrack in this movie is absolutely beautiful, gets me every time.

Chess Red Eagle

I don't think it's bad, just kind of messy. It also doesn't help that the director of this movie is pretty problematic so that also soured people to this movie a bit. It has gotten more liked as the years have gone on though.

Matthew Cronin

Is he as problematic as the guy who made the other movies? 😅

HeroesKey

You absolutely should get into Transformers. I'd love to eventually see your reaction to the 1980's G1 cartoon series and the 1986 movie. There's also Transformers Prime, which is a fantastic show too. I would also love to see your reaction to the Michael Bay Transformers movies but I'm pretty mixed on them. There are some things I love about them but there's also a good bit I am not a fan of with his movies. Though like I said there some things he did that I really liked. I will say the new Bumblebee movie and the Rise of the Beast sequel are amazing too. There's also some really awesome games like War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron, although I'm not sure if they are still available to play anymore, which really sucks. But I hope I'm wrong and you can still possibly access them somehow cause they are just phenomenal games. Definitely would love to see you get into the world of Transformers. As for the Patreon player, I honestly thought Youtube was being a butt to you and causing you copyright issues with this and the Acolyte reaction Caleb did but I guess you guys would've said that if that were the case. I also prefer the YT player as well, especially cause I can then put your reactions in a playlist and watch them back whenever I want

X-Men Origins Wolverine is a prequel movie, though its sequel, The Wolverine, is set in 2013 and is the closest thing to a follow-up to The Last Stand in terms of story.

Morris and his code

For the record, you can skip origins wolverine and not miss a thing. If anything you’ll avoid more confusion.

Todd “Canuck” Schmuck

While it’s not the highest quality xmen film, origins Wolverine does have a lot of lore for Logan. Along with Ryan Reynolds first appearance as Wade…as badly done as it was, suffering through it makes the later appearances more cathartic(and the mocking of the film more fun). They’re best watched in order they were released(getting into why starts to delve too deep into major spoilers) with New Mutants being the only completely disposable film that NO ONE minds being skipped(although dark phoenix has a disposable plot, we at least know the characters. While I’d vote to skip it, others may(heavy maybe) feel differently.🤷‍♂️).

Todd “Canuck” Schmuck

Amazing movie(my personal favorite of the team/non solo films). I wouldn’t skip ahead to watch it though. While I think watching them all in order of release is best, at minimum you want to watch First Class beforehand. 🤷‍♂️

I think Ratner was more macho bro openly problematic where as Singer was more secretive. I don’t know all the stories, but the one about Ratner outing Elliot Page to the rest of the cast in a pretty mean mocking way stands out the most.

Matthew Cronin

Didn’t know that. That’s terrible.
