Oh yay we're back with a DC animated movie reaction and I'm glad you finally gotten around to this one! Another one of my favorite movies from DC. I think this is also the first time you've been introduced to Susan Eisenberg, who voices Wonder Woman. She voices her in Justice League and Justice League Unlimited and much like Kevin Conroy as Batman/Bruce Wayne and Tim Daly and George Newbern as Superman/Clark Kent, I think Susan is the definitive voice for Wonder Woman. So I can't wait for you to get even more familiar with her when you start Justice League. As for the next animated movie, I'm down for you watching Catwoman: Hunted. I believe I actually recommended it for pride month in the discord cause there's a character in it that you have not met yet whose a pride character in DC. So I think you'd really love it. Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths is another fantastic movie and I think you could watch that one as well but I kind of want you to wait until you start watching the Justice League show first before seeing that movie. Not because it's connected to the show but it'll give you better context for things, especially on some of the characters in the movie. Though another movie that I recommend that you didn't mention is Superman: Red Son. That's another terrific Elseworlds movie that is also a period piece, much like Gotham by Gaslight. And not to spoil anything but it does deal with Superman and the government, which I know in the last STAS reaction you mentioned you like seeing. So that's another I recommend. But other than that, thanks so much for this Meg!

I loved this animated movie when it came out and I was about 18 at the time, 14 years later it's not as good as I remembered. I still like it but it's not my favorite dc movie. Everyone seemed a little too aggressive. Except Big Barda who ironically seemed pretty chill given horrible upbringing. It's funny that Kara is technically 16-20 years older than Clark, when Krypton exploded she was a teenager but Clark was just a baby. But now because she was frozen in her ship for 30-ish/40-ish years she's still a teenager/young adult but Clark is now the more mature one. Fun fact, Big Barda was actually in a superman episode you reacted to. In the background. In the episode "Apokolips Now" part 2 Big Barda was actually standing/floating in the background for like 1 second. It's the scene when Orion shows up with the New Genesis army to save the day and tells Darkseid to F-off and leave earth. Specifically you can see her standing behind Orion in the background right over his shoulder. Since you asked about "Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths" it's one of my favorite animated dc movies. I watched it a few years ago again and I think it holds up well. I loved it when I was young and still love it. I think you've seen enough dc stuff that you can watch it before you see the Justice League cartoon. But looking forward to what ever you and Caleb decide on. Thanks for this, this was fun!

it boggles my mind how in the previous movie we had Power Girl, who is supposed to be an alternate take on Supergirl and then in this one, that is supposed to be set after, we have the origin story of Kara so it's like huh????? very good movie tho :3

Matthew Cronin

Batman vs Ninja Turtles or Crisis on Two Earths. Those are two of the best ever.

Matthew Cronin

This series is set after the crisis on infinite earths, meaning Power Girl is from another earth.

Also to answer your question on some things. Granny Goodness is never a lover of Darkseid and is just one of his many servants that he had trained. Batman being cautious towards Kara I don't think is so much his age but more cause of him being cynical and paranoid. He has seen the worst in humanity and with some of the stuff he's been through with villains, heroes and just trauma in general in the comics, I can understand why he'd be hesitant to trust people easily. Granted, some writers do write Bruce in ways where it does make him come off like a jerk and sometimes even worse. But I would chalk that up to bad writing since we know Bruce can be hopeful and give people the benefit of the doubt like Clark. I think Krypto not liking Kara initially is simply due to him not being familiar with her and just being overprotective as Clark said. Big Barda is a pretty well known character in the comics. She's basically the Wonder Woman for the New Gods. Also I don't know if you noticed but a lot of times when you see Darkseid standing stoically, he always has his hands behind his back, showing how much of a proud egotistical tyrant he is

Matthew Cronin

I love how the women are the MVP’s of this movie. Superman and Batman are cool in it but Supergirl Wonder Woman and Barda carry all the fights.

If you want more Superman check out My Adventures With Superman. It’s one of the best.

Ah gotcha

Spidey Productions

I would love for you to watch either Superman and Lois since it's final season is coming out soon and is a great depiction of Clark and Lois's relationship or Lego Batman Superhero's unite movie its a fun Lego movie about Superman and Batman based on the Lego Batman 2 game.

Brandon Gibbs

Ya know in this movie Batman was really pissing me off with his goddamn trust issues as usual. Kara was just an innocent girl who never meant to hurt anyone and she was Superman's cousin. She just needed proper help and training with her powers that's all.

Malcolm Lang-Burney

I think you would get a kick out of Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. It really goes in depth with Clark’s personal life and how important his relationship with Lois is a pivotal part of the mythology.
