Superman's Pal (STAS)

"I had to spend a day with this guy, time to crush him in a compactor." Even Metallo was a little surprised at that. Tina has issues. That Superman trailer was amazing too. The superman actor is from my home town of Philadelphia, so that's cool. I love that Nathan Fillion is playing Guy Gardner the Green Lantern. Guy Gardner is .... unique. It feels like the vibes are similar to "All Star Superman." When Superman is holding that broken robot in the trailer, all I could think of was superman's robotic assistants who sacrificed themselves in All Star Superman. I can't wait for the movie.

From the start I always knew something was suspicious about that metal loving girl who all of a sudden wanted to go out with Jimmy because he became known as Superman's pal. She was working with METALLO!!! Anyway there's only 5 episodes left now so YES you definitely need to finish Superman TAS before you start Justice League TAS!

Good reaction! This episode was actually a tribute to an old comic series from the 50’s titled “Superman’s Pal: Jimmy Olsen” which follows the adventures of Jimmy.

Yeah this episode isn't one of my favorites but I do like it since it highlights the importance of Jimmy Olsen since in the comics, he is very much one of Superman/Clark Kent's best friends. That watch is also a thing that Jimmy usually as well, which again shows the friendship they have that Superman will always show up, especially for his friends. I'm also excited from the new Superman trailer and it gives me so much hope in the future for DC and I really do hope the movie is amazing. The kid raising that flag with the Superman symbol was definitely one my favorite parts of the trailer since it is so Superman coded. I just hope it is handled well cause I've seen a few people a little worried how they'll tackle that considering the current climate. And much like a lot of Gunn's projects, I love that we are getting more lesser known characters that most fans would know but general audiences don't. Like Guy Gardner Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, Mister Terrific, Metamorpho. While I'm also sad about what happened with Henry Cavill, I'm looking forward to the future. Plus I feel like if anyone truly deserves the blame for what happened to Henry, it's really the old WB execs for basically promising Henry and the audience that they were bringing him back but not actually giving him an official contract for him to sign to come back and just waiting too long. While I wouldn't consider myself a Gunn fan (even though I love all the Guardians movies with the 3rd one being my favorite and his The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker) and can understand why people would take their frustrations out on him for what happened to Henry, I think the old hierarchy at WB are the ones that truly deserve it since they were also the same people that screwed over Zack Snyder, especially when he was making Justice League (which I hope you react to it at some point) since it was reported that he had left during the filming due to the death of his daughter but was actually forcibly removed by WB execs because they didn't like the direction he was going with the greater DCEU. But thanks for the reaction!
