Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox

If you want Flash recommendations, I would recommend The Flash: Rebirth by Geoff Johns. It is a really good comic for beginners since it gets you familiar right off the bat with The Flash family. Gives you an idea of Barry and Wally's relationship, and what happened to Barry's mother. For Barry comics, I would recommend John's run from 2010, The New 52 series (even though it was sort of a reboot), and Joshua Williamson's run from 2016. For Wally, I would recommend Mark Waid, Grant Morrison and Mark Millar, and Geoff John's original run. I personally love Barry, but I don't mind Wally. For any of you, I did not grow up with Wally and personally I've always connected with Barry's more dorky personality. But I do agree Wally's comics are pretty good. Especially Geoff Johns.

This is definitely one of the DC animated movies that I had been waiting for you to watch since you first started your DC journey (which I’ve been apart of since you started your playthrough on Arkham Asylum). I am glad that you watched other stuff first before you did this so that you're at least somewhat familiar with some characters since many of the DC animated movies usually expect the audience to have some knowledge on these characters as they don’t really give any exposition. Plus a lot of these movies are adapted from the original comics so they are mainly made for those who have read the comics moreso than those who have just consumed the live action DC movies. This movie gives a bit more insight on Barry Allen Flash. One of the twists in this movie being Martha being Joker is something I'm so glad you caught cause I've seen some people who have reacted to this movie who didn't really catch that and thought Joker did something to her. I think this is the first time that you've met Cyborg and he is usually a core member of the Teen Titans. He's a really great character though. And yeah Reverse Flash is one of the most pettiest villains in DC and villains in general. He not only has made Barry's life hell but also the lives of other heroes, but more so with the Flash and he has specifically orchestrated events that have ruined other characters' lives. Also to clarify, the Flash you met in the STAS episode is not Barry but rather Wally West, the nephew of Barry's wife Iris West and the protege and successor to Barry. So not to confuse you, the Flash you see in the other movies like this one is Barry, but the STAS episode and the Justice League show has Wally as the Flash. I think you'll love him as well though when you get to Justice League. Also with this movie and how much you enjoyed it, it makes me want you to play the Injustice games even more since the story is sort of a take on alternative universes. While the story itself is controversial amongst fans, I am curious to know what you think of it since you loved this so much. But thanks so much for this Meg and I can't wait for the rest of the movies and for when you get to Justice League. Also with how you reacted to this, this is definitely a reaction I'm going to be revisiting

I'm a dying at your little running movements at the end 😂😂😂. This is an example of a great adaption. In the matter of the watch order I want to suggest you don't miss Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths. It's not in the official list of DCAU (i'm not sure why) so it's often forgotten but it's great. Wally is the flash in that version but I think you'll love him and it's a great example of the whole team working together.

The intro to a really good run of DCAU animated content, and an introduction to the DC universe's greatest hater Please look up "It was me Barry" at some point, it's like 30 seconds long and worth every second

Are you planning on watching the Justice League and Justice League Unlimited shows?

Matthew Cronin

This is my favorite DC movie, I’m glad you finally began the DCAU continuity. FYI this series adapts the New 52 era of DC comics, meant to be a modern day entry point for comics.

She said that’s her next show after Superman ends

Batman once said Flash is the kind of man he wished he could’ve become after his parents died, someone who turned the pain into positive energy instead of anger and fury.

What a DC journey. I think I discovered your channel 2 years ago by searching for Superman the animated series reactions on youtube, finding your batman reactions, then going to your patreon and finding the pilot for superman the animated series, and here we are enjoying everything since then. So since you looked it up and mentioned it yeah, Cyborg was in Batman V Superman for like 5 seconds Meg. I hated that scene. It's where Bruce is watching video clips of other heroes. You see Cyborg's origin, how he was made. It's literally 5 seconds on a video link. Most millennials myself included know Cyborg from the teen titans cartoon from 2003-2006, a show which went from funny to dark instantly. Teen Titans rocked. In the comics Hal Jordan/green lantern and Flash are usually best friends. If there's a buddy comedy it would be Flash and Green Lantern. Also Flash and Batman usually have a good relationship too. They both are good at science, and Batman is often very protective of the Flash. Batman would never admit it, but he really likes the Flash, like a little brother. This all depends on the comics and which writers we're dealing with, so it varies a bit.

Oh you are in for a good time with these movies, and when you eventually watch young justice

Being a Wonder Woman fan is crazy, because they’ll be stuff like this that everyone enjoys and I’m just like “Oh look, another character assassination of my fav” lmao.

Good reaction! What a good way for you to get to know Flash and a bit of his lore & supporting cast including his wife & a few of his main villains like Reverse Flash, Captain Cold, Top, & Mirror Master. There are at least three people that took on the mantle of The Flash in canon. Also Thomas Wayne Batman is a fan favorite that people wanted Jeffrey Dean Morgan from The Walking Dead to play him. Jeffrey did play Thomas in the opening of Batman vs Superman. You also met Cyborg who you’ll know more about when you see more content such as a tv show that came out in 2003 about teen superheroes that I highly recommend. Great show. Lastly, the whole thing with Shazam is it’s only one kid that becomes Shazam. Having it be multiple kids was only in the Flashpoint timeline. There’s a short movie called Superman/Shazam that gives you a good introduction to him. :)

Girl, when I say I've been WAITING for you to get into these films, I mean it. The MCU is good, but the DCAMU is something else. The next film in this universe is Justice League: War, which is also great imo. I cannot wait for you to watch "Son of Batman" which is the next one after War. Based on what I know about you, I think you might not like this new Robin at first, but he'll grow on you.

This was your first movie of the DCAMU world! Flash was so obsessed about how he couldn't save his moms a long time ago he let Thorn get to him and he just SPEED UP saving her in the process, but also creating that alternate world where everything was different a horrible war was happening and there was absolutely no hope of stopping it either. It's just a shame that he had to turn it all back to normal by letting her die.

All the actors from DCEU are being recast in the DCU…. Why go out your way to mention Wonder Woman though? Ezra miller is literally accused of serious crimes against children. But Gal Gatot gets a special mention because she’s an Israeli Jew who served in the IDF, like all Israelis because it’s mandatory. I don’t understand how the woke people who call out racism all the time can’t see when they themselves are engaging in it. Calling out a specific person because of their religion, race and nationality and wishing them to be fired. To say nothing of the wider anti semitism that’s exploded these last years. The chant “ from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” is literally a call for genocide, displacement, essentially a new holocaust. People asked how the holocaust happened, how people allowed it to happen…. It starts in the small places, calling for certain people to be fired, banned, harassed. The Nuremberg laws to the culture of social media driven mob. Supporting groups or causes you don’t know much about. Supporting the Nazis without realizing how extreme and Jew hating they are. To supporting Palestine and by association, their leaders. People asked themselves “if I was alive in the early days of Nazi germany would I be taken in by it, or would I be smart enough to recognize a monster” Well many western people have been tested with this, they sided with Palestine, despite their history of terror, their own admitted desire to destroy Israel and all the Jews within. “How could people have supported the Nazis?” Well how can people support Hamas/PA/Palestine?
