This one is the rogue cut? Good to know so I can sink with that version.

I love this movie a lot, even if reading the comics changed my perspective on this movie, Days of future past is still one of the most important Marvel movies to me. This is the movie where the X-men timeline as you can see, shifts away from the original movies, and opens up brand new possibilities, that could've been so much more, but unfortunatly they didn't do a whole lot with it after this movie. So yes that was Quicksilver, and he died in Age of Ultron because they weren't able to use the charecter for more than one movie. I love him here, but there are still a few things that I miss from the comics like calling him Peter insted of Pietro, or that he doesen't have a twin sister. Evan Peters still does a really good job portraying "Peter", i love his whimsy. The next movie in the X-men line is Deadpool (2016), which in no-connection to current things happening to Ryan is still a fun watch, and a much better portrayal of the character than what Origins Wolverine did, Ryan himself stated multiple times that he only agreed to play that part in Origins beacuse he loves the character so much, and Deadpool 1 proves how commited he is to portray the character as well as he can.

It would be really great to see you do some X-Men comic readings sometime, there’s a lot of great stuff out there whether you just want lore for specific characters or the main storyline that everyone is in.

If you cry I cry 😢 incredible and beautiful moments in this film

Yeah this is definitely one of my favorite of the Fox X-Men movies (the only one that I love more than this is Logan). You're right that Quicksilver scene of him running so fast that everything is in slow motion for him is one of the most iconic parts of this movie. While I can understand what Charles wants when it comes to mutants, I do think that if I was a mutant, I might be on Magneto's side since I do agree with his points and understand why he believes in the things he does when it comes to mutant kind, even though I don't agree with some of the things he has done and some of his methods. But I also do feel bad for Charles. Like you said, he lost his legs and his friends and even betrayed by a few of the friends he had left. Plus what Erik does towards the end is one of those things that I don't kind of agree with cause he does fall into continuing that endless cycle of violence between humans and mutants and making the struggles of mutants even more difficult. Also I do love that scene with young Charles and old Charles talking to each other. One of my other favorite scenes next to the Quicksilver one

I don't know why I don't get notifications anymore otherwise I would have been all over this when you posted this. Oh well, a day late is fine. This and Logan are definitely the best X-men movies. Can't wait for that reaction but I think you have Deadpool next if I'm not mistaken. Should be another great reaction.

Legendary. A lot of moving parts like any time travel story, but it's worth it to see two generations of actors interact this way. Charles is usually portrayed as a Ghandi-type sage figure for the X-Men, but this one dares show him at his weakest and most vulnerable. Would have loved to see Fassbender Erik meet McKellen Erik but I doubt it would have changed his mind. On the bright side, this effectively undoes a lot of the stuff people took issue with in X3.

I understand completely watching the one most have available(Heck, I have the Rogue cut on Blu-ray, but my digital copy seems gone because I guess it’s no longer on iTunes, so my digital library shows two copies of the theatrical where one should be Rogue cut. It even shows the longer runtime until I click it and the theatrical comes up. 🤨). Having said that, the extra scenes are well worth Meg watching on her own(All of Rogues scenes were cut for time except her 5 seconds at the end, but she had a lot originally. When Kitty gets wounded, she steps in to take over…after a lot of stuff too long to type). Besides Rogue, there was good character stuff for all the characters(I hate they cut all the Mystique and Beast scenes together, considering their relationship in first class). About 20 minutes worth of material if watched on its own. Unless Meg get an urge to rewatch Days of Future Past for her own enjoyment and just watches the whole Rogue cut instead of just the cut scenes.🤷‍♂️

I was thinking when she got emotional during the scene with Logan convincing Charles not to take his drugs, that the Charles/Charles scene about hope was gonna be devastating. 😢

Need a time stamp on the movie to sync.
