Seems this was their first encounter with Mongul! Guess Superman taught those War World people what honor in battle truly was by beating him and not killing.

Another amazing episode! Now you've met another one of Superman's villains, Mongul. What's interesting is that Mongul was actually inspired by Marvel's Thanos, who was inspired by DC's Darkseid. So I'm glad you mentioned Darkseid since he inspired Thanos and sort of inspired Mongul, which I think shows how much of an impact his character has. I also thought Draaga was a great character since this episode is I believe an adaptation of the comic "Superman in Exile." I'm also glad you now have a bit of an understanding of how horrible Mongul is since you briefly saw him in the Superman/Batman: Public Enemies movie. Plus I love how much of an influence Superman has on people, even to other species from other planets. It did remind me so much of James Gunn's Superman from what we saw in the trailer and I'm hoping that movie is really great cause you're right that Superman is so needed, especially in today's climate. But thanks for another amazing set of episodes and I can't wait for the next one! Oh and I love that you found some love for WWE and wrestling. There's definitely a whole lot to learn when it comes to professional wrestling as it so much more complicated than what is shown on TV. Also I wouldn't really call them fake fights because wrestlers still get hurt in the ring, whether due to accidents in the ring or the countless times they get slammed on the ring mat or hit with weapons. Though if you say pre-determined then you are absolutely correct since the wrestlers know if they are going to win or lose from the booker (the person who makes the matches). Also speaking of wrestling there's a movie called The Iron Claw that is based on the real life wrestling family, the Von Erichs that I'm wondering if you'd be interested in watching

I Love the New every other week Format. I think watching the Arcs together IS better than one Episode every week. Which means in two weeks we get my 2 nd Favorite Batman Moment in the first Season. The First one obviously being: I could have escaped anytime, but i thought i would stick around to keep an eye on you Clowns. Punches Joker Out, Joker : You are despicable.

I honestly can’t wait for “For the Man Who Has Everything” Mongul’s most iconic episode outside of Young Justice

High praise for what is widely considered the worst episode of Justice League Season 1, mainly due to how weak they make Superman. I do like the idea of him causing a revolution on an oppressed world other than Earth. He saw doing that was impossible on the planet Apokolips, but perhaps there's a chance on War World with Mongul dethroned. The premise also reminds me of a recurring enemy of the X-Men- Mojo, a tyrant fanatically dedicated to creating violent entertainment for his people so they don't rise up against him. Battlebots is a guilty pleasure of mine, and while boxing has given us some incredible stories I understand why it's been fading out due to terrible damage it does to the fighters' bodies. Wrestling's fake, but so is all fiction, and wrestlers have been creating fictional personas for themselves for ages.

Good reaction! You get to meet Mongul who is part of Clark’s rogues gallery in the comics as well as War World. A good Superman centric story. Can’t wait for your reaction to the next one. You did briefly met Mongul in Superman/Batman Public Enemies. He had a cameo as one of the many villains who went after Clark & Bruce because Lex Luthor put that bounty on them.
