Excited to see your reaction to this one! Also I'm sure others have brought it up but it's a cool coincidence your wat thing this episode now cuz Metamorpho is going to be in the new Superman movie

The Amazing Webhead

Good reaction! This one was great cause you get to meet another DC superhero Metamorpho. The beauty of this show is you get to meet more characters from the larger universe both heroes & villains.

Metamorpho will be in the new superman movie. People spotted him in the trailers. He also shows up on some of the movie posters. Also the voice actor of Metamorpho here Tom Sizemore passed away in 2023 at age 61. Poor guy had a problems with of drugs and alcohol. He was really big in the 90's and 2000s, in movies like Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down, Heat, Pearl Harbor. He often played movie tough guys, either tough guy villains or tough guy supporting the protagonist

Yes that was Metamorpho! A hero from past DC comics. Anyway this was all about a real asshole of a father who turned GL's old army buddy Rex into a meta-human thinking it would make his daughter Sapphire hate Rex thinking he was a freak and all because that Stagg asshole just wouldn't let her go. Well he was SO WRONG!!! Sapphire still loved Rex aka Metamorpho!

I was waiting for this episode, especially cause you saw Metamorpho in the trailer for the Superman movie. You also get to see just how powerful he really is since he get basically turn into any element, including Kryptonite when he hurt Superman. His friendship with John Stewart and him being a marine as well is only exclusive to the show since I believe he's usually an adventurer. But the whole thing that Rex Mason has with Simon Stagg and his relationship with his daughter Sapphire Stagg is a thing in the comics. Makes me wonder how he'll be used in the Superman movie but also makes me excited to see him since it'll be the first time we see him on the big screen. And considering the things you saw that he can do with his powers, it makes me wonder how that will translate in live action. I'm so hyped for the season finale next!

Introducing a new hero and friend of John Stewart. Metamorpho is naturally in the comics, but unfortunately he's often made a subject of ridicule due to the 'perversion potential' of his power to change different parts of his body into any substance. As for the other side of this equation, do you remember Simon Stagg from Arkham Knight? Different role here, but he's still being an industrialist scumbag.
