The Justice League along with just about every comic book superhero were used for propaganda purposes during the war. The inclusion of Steve Trevor is a call back to the history of Wonder Woman and the 1970’s live action tv show

Matthew Cronin

Vandal Savage remains one of the best DC villains, he’s good in everything he appears in.

Im very excited for you to start season 2!! I like season 1 of justice league but ill admit while there are plenty of good episodes I still hop around a bit, because some of the episodes drag a little. I think like a lot of shows first season, i feel like justice league was still finding thier footing. However by season 2 I think the writers figure it out and I think they start knocking it out of the park consistently almost every episode, with its plotting, dialouge ect and it stays consistent from season 2 throughout Justice league unlimited. Its absolutely what i think of when i think of how good this show is, the shows about to be peak, DCAU. (No shade to the other shows theyre up their too, but this is some of my fav stuff personally) This is also where the plot points of this series will start to build up to later points in the series too! Its going to just slowly build and it will just become something amazing in regards to superhero media. I cant wait for you to start watching the Twilight two parter it's an amazing start for a great season! YAAA, IM LOCKED IN!!! LETS GO!!!

Can't wait for JL S2 and Unlimited!

Loving the Justice League reactions so far completely on board if you want to keep going onto season two, but thought I'd recommend Static Shock and Batman Beyond aswell

So I'm not sure if you have a timeline of how to watch the shows, but i recommend you start watching Batman Beyond so you can catch up on what happens there by the time you start Justice League Unlimited, because there's some important connections between the two shows. Great reaction as always!

So much stuff happened in these episodes like you meeting one of DC's big villains, Vandal Savage. You also got to meet some other lesser known but iconic characters like Sgt. Rock and Easy Company (the soldiers that John Stewart fought with). You also got reintroduced to the Blackhawks as I believe they were seen in the Justice League New Frontier movie but I think it was only like a cameo of their logo on their planes. But here you got to learn a bit more about them. You also got reintroduced to Steve Trevor and this version is probably my favorite of the others. The 2009 animated Wonder Woman movie did an awful job of portraying him and the one from the live action DCEU movie played by Chris Pine was alright but nothing too special for me. But the version in these episodes I thought he was great and I do love the ending with Diana and an old Steve together. It's so precious It's not surprising to me that the alternate Batman became a resistance fighter since I feel like that part of Bruce has always been in him. I think the part of him becoming Batman though will always be tied to his parents' murder but I think his reason for fighting is what can change. Cause in the main timeline, we know his parents are killed by a mugger (Joe Chill) and Bruce vows to end crime. Whereas here, his parents were killed by stormtroopers for speaking out against Vandal Savage's regime and so then he forms the Resistance (which also has Dick Grayson, Barbara Gordon and Tim Drake as members if you saw) and wants to end the the oppressive empire. So while I think Bruce becoming Batman will always be due to his parents' murder, I think the reasons for their deaths is what can alter things. And speaking of alternate versions, I do hope you get a chance to watch the animated movie Superman: Red Son since it's an alternate take on not just Superman but on some other characters too since you've been introduced to so many alternate versions of these characters through the multiverse and different timelines. It's an Elseworld movie so you can watch it whenever since it's not connected to the show. As for what's next, you can move onto season 2 if you want but I will say that after you finish season 2, before you move onto the sequel series Justice League Unlimited, I'd recommend watching Batman Beyond and Static Shock or at least the first episodes of them to get an understanding of those characters since there are references and connections to both those shows in Justice League Unlimited that I think will enhance your viewing once you get to Unlimited. Or if you want, you can stop here and watch Batman Beyond instead of season 2 of Justice League but it's up to you. I just can't wait for when you get to them!! Also yes, Flash can run on water. Really any of the speedsters can, but especially Barry Allen and Wally West. And he didn't run across the ocean, he just ran to where the ships were nearby since IRL iirc, there were Navy ships actually around Normandy on D-Day giving fire and air support for the Allies. Plus Flash can run faster than the speed of light so he definitely has enough speed to run on water and we did see him and Superman do it when they were racing each other in that one STAS episode when you first meet him

Good reaction to the season 1 finale to this show! Season 1 may have been good but S2 is way more better. You’ll see why. 👀 You got introduced to Vandal Savage who is one of the big bads of DC. He’s a constant threat to the League for years so this was a good introduction to him as you’ll see him in other things. You also got to meet the Blackhawks, Sgt Rock, & his squad, the Easy Company who are the soldiers that John worked with. They’re lesser known characters in the DC universe. Lastly you got reintroduced to long time Wonder Woman love interest Steve Trevor. You did briefly saw him in Justice League War & you did mentioned that you saw the live action movie in 2017 that has him in it played by Chris Pine but I did remember you weren’t much of a fan of him in the 2009 Wonder Woman movie which I agree as that film didn’t do him justice and was pretty out of character. Really the whole movie was a mess but it was release in 2009 which was a crazy time. I say this because this episode really shows how of a good character he is and why he’s important in Diana’s world & how much he respects her in the comics.

This season 1 finale of Justice League TAS was just awesome! They were transported to the time of the second World War and had to help them win it against Vandal Savage to save history. They were each going through their own thing helping an ally of some kind too. Afterwards perhaps you should take a break and see some of Static Shock if you want and it IS part of this DCAU world too.

Spidey Productions

Hope you continue season 2 but after if you want to check other show you should DC has a lot of great stuff!

In terms of if you want a break or not from the show, i can be ok with you going to s2 right away but if you need a break as HeroesKey & a few others said, you could start watching Batman Beyond at least the first season to see what you think about the premise. It’s 13 episodes for s1 while s2 has 26 and s3 has 13. If not DC, it be fun to check out some Marvel animation as there are some really good ones. The three big ones that come to mind for me to pick would be The Spectacular Spider-Man, Avengers Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, or X-Men 97. If you want a shorter series I say X-Men 97 & Spider-Man as X-Men as 9 episodes while Spider-Man has two seasons with 13 episodes each. Avengers EMH is a bit long with only have two seasons with 26 episodes each. Only mentioning this ideas if you want a break from JL before doing season 2 or after. :)

Mage Reacts

Love your words on Bats! And this sound great!!

'History has proven that whenever liberty is smothered and men lie crushed beneath oppression; there always rises a man to defend the helpless...liberate the enslaved and crush the tyrant...Such a man is Blackhawk...Out of the ruins of Europe and out of the hopeless mass of defeated people he comes, smashing the evil before him...' —Introduction from Military Comics #1 (August 1941) Yes, the Blackhawk comics are THAT old, running before the war ended. Great season finale introducing one of the League's most persistent and dangerous enemies. Topical too, even more nowadays than earlier. Love this introduction to Steve Trevor as well. BS&P banning the depiction of anyone actually getting injured by all the bullets does leave this ep feeling like G.I. Joe sometimes, but if you know you know. Flash can run across oceans. Remember how he was introduced in the STAS episode Speed Demons? 'Jesus #1 and Jesus #2? So long as he doesn't stop, he can cross nearly any surface. In some episodes he will run straight up walls. Hoping to see you start Season 2 soon, as it's an improvement in every way, containing some of the peak episodes of the entire DCAU. Stay cool <3

PunchFace

Absolutely keep watching JL! Season 2 is great.

k0bra 3eak

So you can definitely do Season 2, but after that it's Batman Beyond, which you'll probably love a lot( there's also a movie which happens after Season 3 EP 9) then Justice League Unlimited as the entire finale to this universe happens in Unlimited

WerewolfF14

the girl with tim is likely meant to be Cassandra Cain, who becomes a new batgirl years after Barbara gets crippled.

The Northlander

If you aren't tired out, yeah totally keep going. It's a joy to share this childhood show with you, and see you enjoy it so much.

We actually never tried to kill Hitler, even though the British had a plan, because we quickly realized that he was sabotaging the war effort by himself. I also have a lot of military in my family history. My father was a Marine. I had several Uncles that served in WWII and the Korean conflict. A couple got medals for valor. One of them received a Purple Heart after he got a piece of shrapnel in his foot during an artillery barrage when his foot was sticking out of the foxhole. My grandfather on my mother’s side worked in the Manhattan Project as a physicist.

Sonia Deepak

Superman glomping Batman remains one of my favorite Justice League moments lol

Trey Goldsworthy

This may be a little late, but this is just a suggestion whether you continue going with the rest of the seasons of JL, I recommend watching Marvel’s counterpart and their own JL animated series called Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes if you haven’t heard about it before and even though it’s only got 2 seasons it’s one of if not the best Marvel animated show ever made.

Brodie Vickers

Not much new to add...except, yeah Flash can run on water. We've seen him do it in his 1st appearance, during that race with Superman. Can move through ice too, even when he's frozen. Loved to see the wartime DC characters in this one!
