Amazo is one of those characters who gets changed and redesigned constantly so don’t feel bad. He also wasn’t as sympathetic in that other movie.

Professor Anthony Ivo is a known villain in the comics and has actually created multiple androids but is mostly known for creating Amazo and while you originally met Amazo in Under the Red Hood, this is the first time you get to see how his powers actually work. For him to be able to copy, duplicate the powers of other powered individuals and be able to evolve past the weaknesses of metahumans he can copy is insane. And while he can't copy something from non-powered people like Batman, he can apparently copy his fighting skills. And as for duplicating weapons like Hawkgirl's mace, Wonder Woman's lasso and Green Lantern's ring, they are limited in power compared to the original. It is interesting what Amazo could turn into and copy the powers of every individual he encounters while traveling the universe. Also his name is pronounced Amazo (Ah-may-zo). I also loved that little side story with Martian Manhunter. I really hope James Gunn introduces him in the DCU and that he's a core character. Also speaking of the new Superman movie, I really hope we get to see Mercy Graves join Lex Luthor at some point in the DCU

First of all Insane that new Superman movie and it was AWESOME!!! Anyway in this episode Mercy was right to not be so loyal to Lex Luthor anymore and that Amazon android was just a lot of trouble for them to handle!

Bubbles This one feels like a good companion for the new Superman film. Lots of ruminations on human empathy and how an outsider 'neutral' consciousness might view it. Felt like it could have been a single episode, but then we wouldn't get the J'onn and Luthor/Mercy subplots (the latter of which feels like a smaller, more satisfying Mad Love), and when they all fit together this well I won't complain. Big kudos to Mercy for severing the metaphorical chains. Big reinvention of the character of Amazo, who was previously just a powerful villain usually acting as an enforcer for another bad guy. It's weird how for so long I believed he was voiced by Brent Spiner, but then you mentioned Robert Picardo and lo and behold. Different Star Trek alumni. Picardo is also Blackhawk from The Savage Time.
