This was unexpected, I do hope you go back and watch some of the other movies before this like Justice League and Birds of Prey, but I love this one too

I'm so happy you enjoyed it and I agree that this movie was so much better to me than the 2016 movie. One thing that I love about James Gunn is that he's not afraid to really show the wacky and ridiculousness that the comics have and it's why I'm so glad that he's co-CEO of DC Studios. I really loved the first outfit that Harley Quinn wore since it reminds me of what she wears in modern comics. The dress was also really nice too. I had a feeling you'd love King Shark and I loved your reaction when you found out Sylvester Stallone voiced him. It's interesting with despite how funny and adorable he is in the movie, he's a reoccurring villain for The Flash and Aquaman. Ratcatcher 2 was one of the standouts of the movie and I did find the story of her father so sad but so good and relatable. Usually in the comics Ratcatcher is named Otis Flannegan and is a villain to Batman. But I actually like the change. Speaking of Batman villains, Polka Dot Man is one of them but a lesser known. Bloodsport putting Superman in the ICU after shooting him with a Kryptonite bullet is a canon thing that happened in the comics. Speaking of what is canon, I won't say really until you watch Peacemaker and Creature Commandos since they kind of answer your question. Also Birds of Prey technically came out before this movie but I'm interested to see what you think of the movie, despite my one big gripe with it

I don't know if this movie is canon or not, but the Peacemaker show is (according to James Gunn).

I love this movie a lot, but sadly some things won't be canon in the ne DCU, but what we know already is that Margot Robbie won't play Harley. Peacemaker obviously is canon, and that he killes Rick Flag Jr. Rick Flag Sr. is played by Frank Grillo, he's in the new Superman in a minor role, and he will show up in different shows and movies. So Peacemaker also has a scene that will not be canon, when you'll see it you'll know what i'm talkong about, but i don't want to spoil it. Creature Commandoes is also pre Superman, and Peacemaker season 2 will come out in august this year.

Well since Creature Commandos is also canon, and both Peacemaker and Creature Commandos reference events in The Suicide Squad, I guess maybe some of this movie is canon? But some aspects might not be maybe. So, maybe this movie is kind of canon.

This movie is not canon, only some of the storylines from this film will be memories the characters have in the DCU bc some of the characters from this film are gonna be in the new DCU as different versions...like the shooting Superman part never happened in the DCU Gunn said, but Bloodsport is in the new universe...and most of Peacemaker S1 is canon except for parts I won't spoil, and all of S2 which releases next month is canon...it sounds confusing but Gunn said S2 will clear things up... Creature Commandos and Superman are obviously fully canon in the DCU.

Peacemaker is so good, and season 2 is coming out in less than a month. Also the animated show Creature Commandos has some overlap with these characters.

I legit signed up to see this reaction and justice league episodes. I absolutely love this movie. When the old dc universe was going and this came along it instantly became my favorite of the whole universe. How is it that a suicide squad film with villains have more hope and heart than the other superhero movies before. So looooved that james got to make superman and of course was fantastic! I hope to see your reaction on peacemaker and don't skip the intro! Lol season 1 then creature commandos then back to peacemaker season 2
