Thanks for the shout out! I'm so glad you are hooked on this. The story itself is an interesting Elseworlds story of what would happen if Superman went evil. It's why the beginning showing Superman killing Joker takes place in the Injustice universe and the "Elsewhere" that it switches to is a universe/Earth that is more aligned with the main continuity versions of the characters we know and love. It's not time traveling but rather another Earth. The best way to describe them I'd say is to call what they're being called "duplicates" as the main universe version of the characters and the other versions you can call them the Injustice versions. I also think the Injustice versions calling the main universe versions "duplicates" is just another way of describing them as variants since they are essentially just like them just from another Earth. The main universe versions don't have a designated Earth so it's safe to assume they are from Earth 1. Where as the Injustice universe I believe is Earth 49. Also the game does help you differentiate between the main universe/Earth 1 version of the characters and the Injustice version of the characters as they different designs. Like how the main Earth 1 Batman has a slimmer looking suit and differently shaped cowl. Where as the Injustice Batman has a more wider/bulky suit. Or how the main Superman has a yellow belt and his signature hair curl and the Injustice Superman doesn't have a belt but has a red design going around his waist, his hair is slicked back, and his cape has like these shoulder pads sticking out. Same with Nightwing how the Earth 1 version he has short hair and the blue and black design and the Injustice version has long hair and a red and black design. So it's actually kind of easy to tell which is which. Despite how some feel about the story, it is an interesting what if story. Like imagine having the powers of Superman and unbeknownst to you, you kill your lover and unborn child, as well as destroy your hometown and you know who was responsible for making you do it. Like what would anyone do in that situation? Would they do what Superman did and fly over to kill them? It's a dark but interesting hypothetical situation. But you get to see why I said in discord that the story is a mixed bag for some people because of how they mischaracterize characters. Like you said and I agree, I don't think Superman would become a tyrant, even after experiencing a trauma like that. It just seems way out of character for him. It also is out of character for Wonder Woman be swooning for Superman and be in a relationship with him, especially with what he did and is currently doing in the Injustice universe. I doubt she'd ever side with him. Also the durability enhancer pill that Batman gives Green Arrow is the best way they can explain how certain characters win a fight that they would most certainly not win in an actual fight. Like Joker would have never beaten Hawkgirl at all but because of the pill that he stole, he can. Plus he has to win to progress the story because (this isn't a spoiler at all), if you were to actually play these games and you happen to lose a fight during any of the chapters, it wouldn't give an alternate story path, you would simply lose and have to try again until you win to keep the story going. But you stopped at a really great spot and I can't wait until you get to the next chapters cause it has some moments that I'm even more excited to see what you think and hear your thoughts on. Also I noticed that towards the end before you paused, the audio became out of sync from the video. But thanks again for the reaction and the always thought provoking discussions at the end. For something like this, I am always curious to hear your thoughts on it. Can't wait for when you finish this! Also put some DC videos in your youtube recs that related to the recent Suicide Squad reaction you did and the Crisis on Two Earths reaction you uploaded to youtube, which honestly rewatching that movie, you could say the Crisis on Two Earths movie and Injustice story is very similar with what they deal with (multiverse and alternate evil versions of our heroes)

This was always one of my favorite DC fighting video games! The story is VERY INTERESTING alright! Exploring a Superman from another world who went BAD and took over the world. Then the main DC world's heroes getting transported there to help against him. I hope you won't take too long to continue this Meg.

This is so exciting! Glad you enjoyed Green Arrow. This depiction as well as in the second game is my 2nd favorite depiction of him. In the justice league sequel cartoon justice league unlimited is my fav green lantern though, and I’m so excited for you to watch the 3 seasons of that show! It’s my favorite DC animation ever!

It’s actually a common thing in the comics, whenever Superman turns evil, Lex turns to a force for good

You should read the injustice comics it covers the 5 years we dont see in the game and also shows the full scene of superman ripping out jokers heart that the game cuts away from its a prequel and then of course ur gonna want to watch injustice 2 as well but please find a video that doesn’t skip the fights in between cuz for example there is another injustice 1 all cutscenes video on youtube but it shows the fights as well and they are INSANE. So i hope u do that for the second game.

Watching a compilation of all the super moves would probably be a good video for a stream, once you're done with the cutscenes. it'll give you a peak at the characters that only appear as DLC, too (Lobo, Batgirl, Scorpion, General Zod, Martian Manhunter, and Zatanna)!

Asking why someone would sexualize female video game characters is ridiculous. Women in video games are specifically designed to be sexualized. Don’t get me wrong I’m not blaming women for how they look, or saying men can’t control their urges. But video game designers specifically design the female characters to be sexually appealing. It’s like someone asking why you would say that fast food tastes good or why candy tastes good, because it’s designed and formulated to taste good.
