Agents of Shield or Iron Man 3 next? (Patreon)

Hey patrons!

We’ve been hearing mixed things about what comes next. It seems like we could jump to Phase 2 and watch Iron Man 3, or start Agents of Shield? But apparently we might get some spoilers in later episodes? What do y’all recommend?

Also, if there is anything that you would like me (Meg) to watch on my own, I’m open to recommendations. Caleb has his own job so it’s tricky to find time to sit down twice a week to record together. But I’d love to film solo reaction content! DC, anime (my fav movie is Your Name), shows related to the games I’m playing, etc??

Definitely jump into Phase Two within the Marvel Universe. Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World are just okay, but I can't wait for your reactions to the movies coming afterwards!! Especially Captain America: The Winter Soldier!! So phenomenal! Plus... I am really not at all a fan of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Sorry to those who are, but I just get annoyed with a majority of its characters. This is just my opinion. I can't wait for you to continue on with the MCU, my friends! Sincerely, Heidi

Sooo, Iron Man 3 should come next. Then you can watch Agents of Shield up until episode 7, then it's the next Thor movie. I really recommend watching agents of shield cos it's really good, but I understand it's a chonky show which not everybody may want to hang around and wait for the next movie.

Personally I would prefer you just keep watching the movies. Shield is pretty good from what I remember, but it has little effect on the movies. I'm not even sure if it's considered canon at this point. I would watch it if you did decide to start Shield, though.

Agents of SHIELD is really good and I'd definitely recommend watching it! The watch order for Phase 2 would be like this: 1. Iron Man 3. 2. SHIELD Season 1 Ep1-Ep7. 3. Thor 2: The Dark World. 4. SHIELD Season 1 Ep8-16. 5. Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier. 6. The rest of Season 1 of SHIELD. 7. Guardians of the Galaxy. 8. SHIELD Season 2 Ep1-19. 9. Avengers 2: Age of Ultron. 10. The rest of Season 2 of SHIELD. 11. Ant-Man. It's very worth to watch it in the right order!

As for recommendations, I will keep suggesting Severance to people, lol. It's my favorite show of the past few years and far too few people have seen it. It's on Apple Tv+. It might be good to make a section on discord where you write what you have/haven't seen down so you don't get unnecessary suggestions. That could also be a place where people can suggest things too. Polls are another thing that could be useful if you have a list that you can't decide on or if you want to pick a movie/show with a particular theme or genre.

something to consider also maybe on your own if caleb isn't around to watch with you is watch the 1st batman movies of each actor you know played him in live action then maybe do a comparision video of whom in your opinion may be the best for a a vid here then on youtube. could be fun as well

I'd go with Phase 2 cause the possible spoilers, but a recommendation is Avatar the Last Airbender. Although Caleb would love the show as well. Either way, it's one of the best shows of all time so by your self or together, you would love it!

Iron Man 3 should be next either way, as it leads into some of the events early in Agents of Shield. Agents of Shield is cool, but quickly diverges from the movies in terms of continuity. And there's A LOT of it. Probably best to go ahead with the MCU rather than trying to thread AoS into the mix. Other reactions: As people have mentioned, Avatar the Last Airbender is great, and will likely bring in subs as the fandom is pretty big. Same with The Legend of Vox Machina, which has a cool behind the scenes story to boot (and has Ashley Johnson, from The Last of Us/the waitress in Avengers as one of the actors/creators). Arcane would be good too.

Iron Man 3. You wanna start Marvel Series? I recommend Daredevil Season 1. Followed by Jessica Jones Season 1, Luke Cage Season 1. Eventually, after Season 2 of Daredevil; You could do Punisher Season 1. Then you could either continue, or go into the Disney+ Shows..

Agents of Shield pales in comparison, and only has a handful of good episodes all the way in season 4.....
