Y'all made me cry with the first episode of this series! I didn't realize how much this show meant to you. I'm grateful to everyone who recommended it.

HBO lists this as the second episode, and then The Flying... Leather? Or something as episode 3. A patron mentioned that the order varies based on release and production. From what I've gathered, it's not too important story-wise, so we'll keep going in HBO's order!Thank you again!!!! Hope the countdown and timer help!

The Cat and the Claw Pt 2

Well

......... On Leather Wings..... lol HBO's order is correct, since it puts everything in Chronological Oder, or tries to. It's how they released the DVDs and the Newer Blu-Rays of the Series... One thing to keep in mind as this Series progresses, just as an aside for now, is that this Series eventually blossomed into what we call the DCAU (DC ANIMATED Universe). A bunch of series/characters intersected with this series and vice versa (more so this Batman intersected with those other series) down the line... Why is this important? Well aside from those series being truly phenomenal in their own right, BTAS itself culminates into the 1999 Sequel Series called 'Batman Beyond' a TOTALLY original concept set seventy years in Bruce/Gotham's future... Another ''fun fact'': BTAS 1992 spawned the ENTIRE original DCAU which lasted up to 2004... Some of, if not the best, twelve years of Animation and my life personally.... Yes; I'm very sad okay, lool In 2004 a new wave of DC Animation would begin starting with 'The Batman' pretty good, just not as good as BTAS. Gahhhh; I'm so sorry for nerding, I just LOVED this era SO MUCH.... GAHHHH I was seventeen when it ended, then ATLA came out the following year..... (I had ZERO chance to ''stop watching cartoons and get a life'' like most people were doing/saying).... Like my five to eighteen years of life were these shows, their phenomenal writing, and the massive amounts of talent behind them, and how they all helped me cope with life and my mental health... I re-watched them all through college and my early thirties, and they seriously have no business holding up as well as they do...sigh VERY TL;DR: T H A N K Y O U B A T M E G ! ! ! <3

While I never grew up with this show, I did go back to watch this as well as the other shows in the DCAU and I can understand why pretty much every show in this universe are so iconic even to this day. It makes it even more disappointing that the live action movies could not translate the sheer quality of the DCAU into their films cause the DCAU is the perfect blueprint. You could say the MCU was in a way created thanks to the DCAU. I'm not sure if they actually took inspiration but I wouldn't be surprised if they did get the idea of having an interconnected universe from the DCAU. But I'm so happy you're enjoying the show Meg. You are in for a wild and emotional ride with this show and the other DCAU shows. Thank you so much for this! Also I appreciate the countdown in the beginning

Well

Adore this series didn't get to this story arc until a little later in the season as the first Ep to release was Leather Wings but what you're watching is indeed the Chronological order. Mask of the Phantasm is set sometime in early Season 1 but has flashbacks post Season 1 so it would be a good idea to jump into Mask of the Phantasm as it does give you insight on Origin elements kind of like the Batman Begins of the series. Redclaw is an original character created for this show who then appeared like 30 years later in a comic. But like some other characters she's one of the many created for this show. Marvel also has their own animated universe from the 1990s listed down below. These were all set in the same universe making reference to each other like Spider-Man mentioning the Fantastic Four and at times even crossed over with each other. The DCAU and the Marvel shared animated universe all released at the same time so it's unclear if this movie inspired one or the other but regardless it gave birth to one of the best decades of animated superhero shows with X-Men, Spider-Man, and Batman being some of the greatest shows in the 1990s. X-Men: The Animated Series (1992-1997) Iron-Man: The Animated Series (1994-1996) Fantastic Four: The Animated Series (1994-1996) Spider-Man: The Animated Series (1994-1998) Ultraforce (1995) The Incredible Hulk (1996-1997) Silver Surfer: The Animated Series (1998) Spider-Man Unlimited (1999-2001) The Avengers: United They Stand (1999-2000) Out of all of these I highly recommend X-Men: The Animated Series and Spider-Man: Animated Series. The other are still really good but these two are just next level.

I'm really enjoying sitting down and just watching some cartoons with you! It's just a lovely way to switch off my brain and enjoy some Batman :)
