Hey y’all! I wanted to check it and let you know that we’re planning on watching Civil War asap. Meg is pretty sick at the moment, and she is the master tech wizard and editor extraordinaire, so we wanna make sure she’s taken care of and back to full health before we dive in.

In the meantime, you know I love sharing hobbies and such. What are some of your favorite books (comics count 1000000007%) and why? Let’s say 5…

Here are some of mine:

- Realm of the Elderlings, by Robin Hobb (I couldn’t pick a favorite out of the 16 books 😂)

- Sword of Destiny (Witcher)

- the entire Scott Snyder Court of Owls/Death of the family Batman arc

- Senlin Ascends, by Josiah Bancroft

- 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami

I love me some character driven fantasy, and Robin Hobb is one of the best at it. That entire saga is a brilliant cry-fest, and I highly recommend it. Meg introduced me to Murakami way back when we first met and lent me 1Q84 before we even started dating. I couldn’t put it down! Senlin Ascends is steampunk meets The Hobbit. SO GOOD

ANYWAY…I hope y’all have a great weekend. We appreciate your patience and support ENDLESSLY. We seriously can’t thank you all enough. Let’s send Meg some love and healing vibes ❤️🙏🏻

Get well, Meg! Health comes first. To answer the question, I'm fond of interactive books, of which Fallen Hero: Rebirth by Malin Rydén is my favorite. Loved it so much that I ended up an editor for the sequel. For normal books I'd have to say Lord of the Rings. It's hard not to love Tolkien's use of language. For something more modern, I'm very fond of the Halo novels as well (well, most of them at least!) For comics, my favorites are The Walking Dead (Robert Kirkman) and Sunstone (Stjepan Sejic). Very different genres (horror/drama vs romance/comedy) but both great! ...and that's 5! I gravitate towards spec fic (whether it be sci-fi or fantasy), especially with romance and horror elements. Good queer rep is a big draw for me, and writing style/use of language is important as well! I almost never read in my native Swedish, only English. I sadly haven't read any of your favorites! Looking forward to Civil War whenever Meg is feeling better!

Fell better Meg. You guys are awesome

LOTR is hard to deny. I love listening to those audiobooks, and the Hobbit was something I read over and over. People keep saying the Halo books are good. Which ones do you not recommend? If you like queer rep and horror with a dose of fun romance…Have you read Gideon the Ninth yet??

Love y'all; Meg feel better <3 As per you Caleb : - *ANYTHING* and *EVERYTHING* Tolkien. - Berserk (RIP Kentaro you will *always be incredibly missed, but *never* forgotten especially now). - Spawn (its first few arcs, huge nostalgia too). - I feel the exact same as with Stephen King as with Tolkien, but his Gunslinger/Dark Tower series is pretty tops. - Good Omens by Terry Pratchet/Neil Gaimen is just a feel good book all 'round (anything Pratchet is just magical really). - Oh (IK IK 5 only BUT) and Saga. Saga is *undeniable* ''Modern American Comic'' wise if you've never read it.

Not yet, but Gideon the Ninth very much on my to-read list! Everything I've heard about it makes it sound like it'd be right up my alley. And yes, the LOTR audiobooks are such a pleasure to listen to. I've fallen asleep to them more than once, the narration is just so pleasant. And I don't think there's any of the Halo books (out of the ones I've read, at least - I've fallen a bit behind) that I wouldn't recommend at all, but some (Like the Kilo 5 trilogy and The Flood) are a bit more uneven than the rest.

No rush for the reactions. I know you'll do them eventually but your health comes first. Feel better soon Meg!
