I just love the parallels of Matt and Fisk you can trace their upbringing especially with their fathers who are both traditionally masculine but one is loving and caring and encourages him to read and learn and to use his head whereas the other demands respect and mocks his own son by body shaming him and reminding him to be a man. They are definitely showcasing the good and the bad of masculinity which is great writing.

Fisk really just tore my heart out here. It's no wonder that he became as disturbed as he is. Like as much as Bill was a piece of shit.... its not good at all that Wilson became a murderer 😅 children having traumatic moments like seeing his mother sawing his dead father into pieces, or bashing in someone's head with a hammer. But because of Fisks vulnerability and how he wants to avoid becoming his father, (Even though, hypocritically, he already has become his father) it makes me feel so bad for him and almost wanting him to win. Not because of his plan, but because he's suffered a shit ton and there's still a humane side to him. Vanessa really unknowingly unleashed Fisks darkness. Like she doesn't even know the half of what he's done. Hell, Fisk himself might not even realize that in his crusade to make the city better, he doesn't realize that the violence he's caused is no better than his dad. Vanessa allowed him to not be afraid, but for all the wrong reasons lol 😆 Once he experienced that love and connection, she also enforced that dark ass behavior she still doesn't even know the whole of. So while it almost seems so pure, him coming out of the dark, blending in with more light, even wearing a lighter suit.... its only to further enact his plans and bring more suffering. The beast is unleashed, also encouraged by someone he loves. Nothing is more dangerous than someone who sees their crusade as justified, even more with love. Just look at Thanos. Also side note, I love Wesley and Fisks relationship. Wesley genuinely cares about Fisk, and even though he's his assistant, they're definitely more close friends. Wesley disobeyed Fisks angry orders, just to bring him some form of comfort by brining Vanessa. Like that's so oddly pure, but it works.

Anytime Wilson is on screen just looks like he's about to cry everytime and they show the similarities between him and Matt really well and its like a doubel edged sword WIlson coming out to the public about who he is and what he's about while Matt hasn't told anyone he's daredevil yet at all
