The Kamen Rider franchise and power rangers are indeed closely connected. Power rangers was an Americanized adaptation of a Japanese super hero show called super sentai. The Super Sentai and the kamen rider franchises were both created by the late great Shotaro Ishinomori a prolific and highly acclaimed comic artist and writer well know for creating many of Japan's iconic super heroes (Cyborg 009, Kamen rider, Super Sentai, Kikaider, Robot Detective K, the list goes on) But ya one things i love about tokusatsu super hero shows is that they are typically very good at doing more with less as well as having a charm and style of their own. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. i was worried you would, as my brother would say, find it too niche. P.S. extra fact: Shotaro Ishinomori got his start as Osamu "God of Manga" Tezuka's (creator of Astro boy) assistant

Kamen Rider is so fun I just started watching the sentai verisons of it since I got introduced to it from the americanized version Kamen Rider Dragon knight which is very Power ranger esc. Power rangers also love seeing how different things can be storywise but the footage of the fights is from the sentai show itself
