I think you missed the dialogue earlier in the episode but light told Ryuk that when he says “get rid of it” regardless of the context that means he wants to forteit ownership of the death note. So when he said that in the prison cell that’s where ryuk went - light lost all memory of the death note and genuinely believes he isn’t Kira now

Light is so damn risky smart he lost his memeories of the death note as part of his plan , this is the most crazy game of chess ever lol and L not knowing about the Shimigami's still gives Light the slight advantage but I think L will figure something out eventually

Light's biggest, riskiest gambit ever. Impossible for you to let slip something that lets people know you're Kira if you don't actually remember being Kira. It's quite the shift back to being his original innocent self, and it allows him to become friends with L in quite a different way.
