i totally agree on your assessment on Luthor. Luthor is very much a villain but he is not one dimensional. which is a good thing a i do feel that there is a certain point where a villain can be TOO evil that they become boring. even with his ego, greed, and power hunger Luthor does have admirable traits; he is brave, diligent, pragmatic, charismatic, class, and above all smart. Heck one of my favorite DC villains is Captain Cold (in the comics at least). All he is about is the big score but he also has a strict code: no drugs, no world domination schemes, no hurting woman & children, and above all no killing the flash.

Lex and Lois did used to date I forget what episode they mentioned it in but I like that Lex just has his morals last episode he left her to die in the exploding lab with Bizzaro but hear he's so calm and respectful I love this version of Lex Clancy brown voices him so well all the voice actors are so good

I could be wrong but I think the detective Bowman's character is modeled off of one of the detectives from the famous 1960s cop show Dragnet. I can't find any info to back this theory up, but detective Bowman looks so much like detective Friday from Dragnet. It's also interesting that they introduced a new police character since we already have police Inspectors Magee Sawyer and Dan Turpin from season 1. Also Metropolis's infrastructure is amazing, they have sky highways like 40 stories high? I mean yeah I was worried about Lois and Clark on that highway but really that is some impressive engineering. The scene where superman saves Lois from the rocket elevator and says "I think this is your floor," I found that so wholesome. The part at the beginning where the old journalist is ragging on Lois you can see Clark really pissed off at him. Oh and that story of you and Caleb was really cool.

That fool was crazily trying to kill Lois over a stupid reason. Also despite that she was still being the badass alpha woman she's always been and you're right about how Superman really does have feelings for her and that's why he's always close by to save her if she needs it. Anyway I can't wait till you see the NEXT EPISODE!!! lol

While not my favorite episode, this was still great. I'm glad as you said at the beginning that you're craving some DC/comic stuff lately and I'm here for it. I know you finished Batman: Damned recently and are working your way through other comics. So I hope we get some comic talks at some point cause I always love hearing your thoughts on DC stuff like your assessment on Lex at the end. And you mentioning Lex having a crush on Lois, I wouldn't be too surprised as Lois did say in season 1 that she and Lex did date for a little while. So who knows if he secretly wants to hook up with her again. But yeah I'm all for you reacting to more DC stuff! I'm so ready for you to watch the next episode as I know it's gonna be a fun one. Also I'm not going to spoil it but I'm very curious with how you're going to pronounce the title for the next episode in your intro

Not a stellar episode, but unique in that it focuses on Lois and her career as a journalist along with relationships with Clark and Superman. It's an unfortunate bit of meta-narrative that if we meet a new character during a mystery we'll automatically suspect them. I guess detective Bowman was the red herring here to lead us off the trail, being all grumpy and spying on Lois. Forgive me for making it a bit personal, but perhaps here is where I might find a clear, non-insulting answer after hearing you use the term 'Incel' to describe Lytener: Doesn't that stand for 'Involuntarily Celibate'? As in a guy whose behavior is so repulsive that he'll never get a date (and we've certainly seen guys who get lots of tail despite terrible behavior)? Shouldn't it be 'Volcel' for 'Voluntarily Celibate'? Just frustrating because it sounds a bit like virgin shaming. ANYWAYS, on to one of my all-time favorite episode of STAS next time! Can't wait!

Thank you for clarifying! That looks pretty revolting, though I never got that feeling from Lytener when I originally saw this one, just that he was a really arrogant guy who felt snubbed by Lois winning the award that he wanted. Maybe I was too young then.
