Harley's Holiday (BTAS)

Naw

OMFG; almost three in a row!! THANK YOU, MEG💚💚💚 And another FANTASTIC EP!! Seasons three through five reeeeally found their stride, especially as they intercepted with the other DCAU shows going on at the time!!

Brandon Gibbs

Now this Harley's Holiday episode of BTAS is another one of my favorites!😉🤣 Also you were right about how that BTAS version of Bruce Wayne was more likable and balanced in personality cause he definitely was back then unlike most other versions of today.

Brian Kickass

I think the worst part for all of us who are forced to hold back because of the status quo’s weakness (and fearfulness of everything including their own snot) and inability to think (which is replaced by education), is that we also have to watch all of society’s restrictions and regulations get tighter and stricter as we continue to abide by their stupid rules as they have no problem wasting our time. They don’t even see how this is just gonna piss off or get everyone to suffer anyway. Our tolerance is mistaken for their ignorance. Ra’s is sick of it. Imagine hundreds of years of witnessing them slowly strangle everything to death in their time-vampirey, cowardly way that loves to please the majority and receive credit from people who pretend to like them. Nothing wrong when one of ours runs out of patience and unloads; at least we dislike them for who they are, and hurting them is done for the sake of hurting them. We would never force someone else’s kids to get 13 shots before entering a school to be surrounded by people that they don’t like, only to get sick anyway and survive only 99.99% of the time, and wast our best years waiting for them to spell “cat” and label each other “smart”. Many even forget that they hate going to school. Every breath is a gift that comes at the expense of the minority, who’s only talent is to outnumber and outvote logic, and calls it “victory”. And everytime there’s an outbreak of violence, they waste that breath to say, “we can’t believe whatever could happen here. we don’t know why this has to happen.” So obviously, since good always triumphs, and most people are good and smart, and they’ve singled out those who disagree to categorize as crazy bad guys, theyre now able to agree that the meaning of life is to trick someone they love into marriage so they can breed and continue to outvote one or two guys. There should be a law that legalizes revenge committed by minority. Or more people like ra’s and harley who don’t even want their money.

Oh and if you’re watching to get through to the change or art style in World’s Finest, don’t forget there’s Sub-Zero too. But it doesn’t matter at all really. If something happens in continuity, it’s minor and you’ll just figure out all the same stuff in a different order. You’re not gonna end up chronologically twisted no matter what you do

So after watching both STAS and BTAS, I think continuing on with STAS after BTAS Season 3 episode 5 would make sense as by that point you'd get used to the new art style.

Yup I knew you were going to love this episode. This is such a fun episode and it's probably one of my top favorite Harley episodes. Bruce and Gordon are definitely the best in this episode. I loved that they believed in Harley and just thought that she's just having a hard time on her first day out of Arkham rather than just assuming that she was back to her old ways and hadn’t changed like everyone had seem to think, except for the Doctor at Arkham. It's one of the reasons why I love them since they're just such great people who never give up on anyone. And yeah that ending scene with Batman talking to Harley about how he once had a bad day too and giving her the dress is one of my favorite scenes from the whole series. I also just love Poison Ivy seeing it all and just smiling. In regards to STAS, you can watch the next few episodes if you want in case you want a bit of a break before continuing onward again with BTAS. There is a crossover in STAS and canonically it does take place after the events of BTAS S2. I think the biggest thing with it is the art style changes slightly. But I'm so here for this BTAS reaction marathon. I know that this year we're gonna be definitely getting into Justice League stuff and I'm so ready! Also I just realized that even though this is S2 of BTAS, technically this is S3 of BTAS and there's only 4 episodes left

To be fair to the people on the street, those were not dogs Harley was walking, those were hyenas. If I saw someone walking down the street with a pair of hyenas, I’d freak out too

Unstablebeast

so chronologically, this takes place way after most of the show, so dont be confused if you see harley bad again, she didnt relapse, this just happens after Also harley....kinda did mess up, the guard was just gonna remove the security tag and she could be on her way but she freaked out and kidnapped someone. she didnt plan or intend to hurt anyone yeah, but she still caused alot of damage over a situation she misunderstood. Also, while they dont show it all because its a cartoon, it is implied that for years she held people up at gunpoint and hurt alot of people, people viewing her as dangerous isnt wrong, because she could cause alot of destruction and injury if she wanted to

Narutoanime16

Love that Harley actually tried to changer things around she’s just forgetful lol. So glad Bruce understands that & wants her to get help & idk what else he can do to really help Arkham. Yea he’s rich but he can’t fix everything and he’s not trying to he’s taking it one villain at a time

Narutoanime16

There mainly in the wild anyway right not down the street lol I’m not trying to get bit

Knew you'd like this one. Another great 'villain redemption' episode mixed with some crazy WB antics that might not fit a more serious villain. We saw this sobering lack of society's acceptance with Penguin too in Birds of a Feather, but it's perhaps more noticeable with Harley trying her best to fit in and being rejected since she lacks Oswald's arrogance. I'm sure you'll enjoy the Harley Quinn show when/if you get there, and there is indeed a great Bullock episode coming up even if Harley isn't in it. Any order you choose is fine, but I would indeed recommend trying to finish Batman before Superman, as the latter has a crossover with the former in the 3rd season and after that segues into Justice League. And the sooner you get to the next Harley-focused episode on the list the better, as it's legendary.

Mage Reacts

Wait, they are actually hyenas? 🤣🤣

Brian Kickass

I say let the lions and tigers roam the streets after we free them. Expecting anyone to react to anything in a way that’s been classified as right or wrong is how genocide and slavery begin everytime. Fear is a good thing because it makes us not walk towards oncoming tigers. Fear lets us choose too, unlike most humans. No one should have the authority to stop me or any lion for running a red light, especially since we’re helping each other hunt humans for dinner. I get along with hyenas too, but they scared me at first as well. But I knew it wouldn’t be fair to shoot him and everyone who looked like him in the face just because I get scared. And hyena court is a total waste of time because no matter what you do, they just rule that you’re innocent, and life goes on. Makes more sense to have a bunch of humans who weren’t even present at the scene vote and complain about how they’re missing work so that I can spend my best years behind bars so they can feed me til I go to the bathroom and sleep until they say I’m angry and dangerous enough go outside again, but only if I promise find a bunch of green papers or I’ll die. It’s crazy that they think I’m not going to retaliate on the ones wearing coats of fur from our fallen ones. I stalk them wearing the skin of their relatives, but I’m ready for the consequences it might bring. Its more about accountability and not letting the definition of responsibility transform into another word for work or job that you were forced into.

Another one of my favorites! That line at the end, “I know what it’s like to try to rebuild a life. I had a bad day too, once,” gets me every time. And the fact that he got the dress for her, too. An empathetic Batman is the best Batman! Oh, and I think people were freaked out because those are hyenas, not dogs lol 😊

Casey

Also, you should read the White Knight series. There’s a bit of a love triangle there…

This episode makes me sad knowing Harley's future in the DCAU.
