Oh my goddddd At some point, you should watch the first four episodes of Tales of the Jedi. They are backstory on some characters in this show.

KrakenKing

Yeah baby!!! This is the start of greatness. This is just my personal preference Meg, but I would suggest recording arcs as a whole if you can, that way you’ll get to watch the full story, plus it’ll move the show faster.

Naw

huh?

Chess Red Eagle

she's watching in chronological order as the show jumped around the timeline a bit.

Naw

Ah

KrakenKing

This yes PLEASE watch the first four episodes of Tales of the Jedi!!

Ethan T

Not yet. They spoil the end of TCW.

Matthew Cronin

The first four episodes do not spoil anything

I’m not excited. I’m elated. This is going to SO fun and I cannot wait for so much. I’d tell you but I don’t want to influence your mindset. Just enjoy with no elevated expectations. Long story short, the Clone Wars movie is three episodes that were sandwiched together and released as a feature. The movie actually came out before the series, so that started how messy the continuity was. We will discuss the movie when we get there. LOVE that you caught the “You’re my only hope!” reference with Bail. The whole subplot with the stealth ship is a reference to another line from Empire: “A ship that small couldn’t have a cloaking device!” There will be a lot of stuff like that to come. And I would smash Trench. With my shoe. I hate spiders. Love to Bumikin Dogwalker and Yuna Yoda.

Matthew Cronin

Again, the first four episodes spoil nothing, they just provide backstory for TWO characters, one she already knows and one she is about to meet.

I am excited 😊 but also because a lot of episodes I'll be watching along with you for the first time

OMG!!! MEG!!! I'm so excited, EXCITED FOR SO MUCH TO COME! You're gonna love this series and I am so happy to come along on your star wars journey! I genuinely love your excitement and passion for what you play and watch. As a DC and Star Wars fan, i get so much joy watching you go deeper into these worlds and fall in love.

Brodie Vickers

Hey look it's Spider-Man! the ACTUAL Spider-Man

Narutoanime16

Love this series! Seeing in more depth of Anakin and Obi wan during the war so excited ^^

Alissa

this is where the fun begins

YES! Excited! This is some of the best Star Wars stuff out there. I've typed a few things different things now and deleted them all because I don't want to spoil anything. Just ready for the journey... (Also, as someone else mentioned... Tales of the Jedi 2, 3, 4 would be great watches. I think you'll love the characters they spend time with. They're stand-alone stories in a similar animation style to these. VERY WELL DONE. Once you meet a certain orange skinned character episode 1 can be watched - but save episodes 5 and 6 for after you finish Clone Wars)

DarkLadyofSilver

Oh I’m so excited for you to watch Clone Wars! It’s sooooooo good, and just gets better as the show continues. I’m glad your going with chronological order, it’s my preferred way to watch it and it makes following the story much easier.

LET'S GO!!!! I was 10 when this show came out, and I had seen Star Wars and I liked it, but this series made me LOVE Star Wars. After watching this show I finally "got it". George Lucas created the show and trained Dave Filoni as his apprentice and passed the keys to him when they finally did season 7. I love that you're beginning this journey

This is great. Whereas in the episode II and III movies we see Anakin at some of the worst points in his life, in the clone wars we see him at his best, when he's happy and in an emotionally good place, mostly. I could be wrong but I think this episode takes place maybe 6-8 months after "Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones." Why? Because that's the amount of time I think it would take Anakin to grow his hair out from his short padawan haircut he had in "Attack of the Clones" Here he has long hair down to his neck. Now maybe the writers never even considered that, and maybe I'm over thinking this. But 6 months seems like a good time jump. So I'm going with that.

Still hoping you give the 2D animated mini-series by Genndy Tartakovsky a watch because the animation and bite sized quick episodes are so perfect! Love that you're getting obsessed regardless!

jdmoss644

The CW are only 3 years so 6 to 8 months is probably too long of a gap to start. The concensus ive seen is about a month after ep 2

Calum Grace

Look out for a slightly older live-action version of the admiral advising Anakin (Wullf Yularen) whenever you watch Andor

I'm very excited to see your journey through this series. While it's entirely up to the both of you, I would like to like to suggest watching it through as story arcs. When watching in chronological order most story arcs are only 2 or 3 episodes, but the larger story arcs are roughly the length of a movie. I find it can help with seeing how they the overall story ties together. Again it's entirely up to the both of you if would like to watch it this way, but I find it the most enjoyable way to watch through the show. The Star Wars Report have a really good guide for the chronological Story Arc order, if you do want to try watching this way. Regardless of which way you choose to watch it, the journey is going to be brilliant.

This is great advice, thank you! Found the list and it definitely looks doable. :)
