the crate that Bobbie left out to be stolen contained "tightbeam encryption modules" - tightbeam is the common term for laser-based communication rather than omnidirectional radio waves. So these would be used to send private communications over long distances (like, across the system) without being snooped/eavesdropped. So what would Belters need with such a technology?

He may call himself Murtry, but I think you have it right, "Morty Murderery Poopieface" is his actual legal name. You've done us all a great service in revealing it, Meg. 😊 The theory that Amos is on The Spectrum comes up from time to time; I don't know if he's autistic in the "medical" or neurological sense of that term, though I also know that thinking among health professionals on what exactly that term means has shifted a bit over the years, even since his character was written and this show was created. Whatever you term his condition, I think its causes in Amos are more environmental than, say, genetic or biochemical; Amos had a really shitty and traumatic childhood, some of which we've learned about and some of which has (at this point in the story) been implied more than overtly stated. But his "world view," if you will, and his neurodivergent attributes, whatever gave rise to them, do seem similar (at the very least) to autism, so whether we define him as On The Spectrum or use other words, he is definitely "different" in similar ways. I think his directness and no bullshit attitude actually serve him well in a lot of cases, but maybe not all. Amos is definitely a work in progress, but the fact that he's so self-aware really helps. He's a really fascinating character, and yeah, while I'm not sure I would nominate him for a diplomatic position, he's definitely someone I'd be happy to have on my side any time, any day. Bobbie is kind of ... lost this season, I think. She was brought up to revere Mars and to be unreservedly proud about being a Martian, striving with every breath to live up to the Martian ideal, but she's been shit on a lot by The System as well, so I think it leaves her pretty conflicted. Her default position is to be that unwavering Mars Patriot, but I think some cracks are starting to appear in her idealism, and while she doesn't *want* to believe the stuff Esai Martin told her, I think it's getting through more than she'd like. And that bothers her. But it also makes her think. I think you handled the ad breaks really well, using the time to talk about the issues raised and picking up again quickly after things resumed. I had no trouble keeping in sync with you; you provided enough footage after each ad break to allow me to press play again in my Prime Video window. However, I am watching without ads on my side, because I bought all six seasons of this show way back when they aired. Not sure how people who are also seeing ads are staying caught up, but I'm guessing that the ad breaks are probably about the same length for everyone, even if the ads themselves are not. So it probably works better than we'd think. But regardless, you've done a great job of adapting to the ad-infested streams here; I think others posting full length content here could take a lesson or two from you. Nice job.

While I think you understand the political factions in the show, you made a couple of statements that made me wonder. First, you said if you were a belter, you would vote for Chrisjen. However she’s running for UN Secretary General of Earth. Neither Belters nor Martians vote in that election. Also you said Bobbie should ask her for help in finding David. Again, Chrisjen is part of the Earth’s government and has no authority over anything other thing on Mars.

There’s no international (interplanetary I guess) law for kidnapping minors? She’s still incredibly resourceful and could help file reports against the guy.

Yes, Amos was messing with Murtry by calling him the wrong name - Murtie, Morty, and Murphy, there might be another one that I'm forgetting.

Also I had to look up what RCE stood for because I don't remember them saying. It stands for "Royal Charter Energy". That's the name of the company. So RCE is a company that the UN government has given permission to explore Ilus for possible future colonization and resource extraction. The RCE guys aren't even soldiers or part of the UN government, the guys with guns are just private security contractors or mercenaries.
